Part 1| neglectful Dabi x neglected reader ~i'll be better~

Dabi prospective

When I walk into the bar to grab my jacket (u) smiles running up to me while she's wearing a rather nice outfit 'oh right I promised her we'd go out' I think scratching the back of my neck avoiding looking at (u) "Are you ready for our date!!!" (u) ask's happily jumping up and down "ah... well about that I'm real Sorry (u) I'm just not feeling too good..." I lie and (u)'s enthusiasm drops along with her huge grin "oh..... I get it! It's fine don't worry about it we can go out another time!" (u) smiles "yeah another time sence I'm not feeling good I think I'm gonna head back to my room" I say and (u) nods as I leave the bar starting to walk back to my room 'ah crap I frogot to grab my jacket' I think as I'm half way down the hall and I turn around walking back to the bar to grab my jacket but I freeze with my hand on the door nob "(u) when was the last time Dabi did something for you?" toga ask's "he does stuff for me all the time" (u) says "yeah? give one example" Shigaraki says "We'll just last week we-... he did-... there was... that one time..." the room goes dead silent and I try thinking of the last time I did somthign for (u) but I can't come up with anything then to my amazement I hear crying (u)'s crying "he-he really is a good person he just- he can be a little cold some times" I hear (u) say as her voice cracks and my eye's widen 'I'm a terrible person...'

The next morning
(u) prospective

"Baby wake up" I hear "huh? What the?..." i question sitting up rubbing my eye's and to my surprise dabi's actually here "u-um good morning Dabi" i greet in suprise seeing that Dabi's in our room instead of staying out late going out to drink with hawks or twice "good morning I made breakfast" Dabi says "y-you??? You made breakfast?!" I ask and Dabi nods "yep! Get dressed I'm taking you out today" Dabi says before walking out of the room leaving me stunned 'w-well this.... this is unusual' I think getting out of bed and changing into the black hoodie and jean's Dabi laid out for me once I get dressed and brush my hair I walk into the leagues kitchen to find bacon egg's toast orange juice and pancakes "I picked up a few things from the store earlier this morning" Dabi says and I turn around seeing him sitting at the table wearing a surprisingly spiffy get up "w-wow thanks so much Dabi" I smile grabing a plate and picking and choseing some food before sitting down to eat at the table to eat with Dabi 'I didn't even think Dabi ate breakfast much less made breakfast' I think sceptically looking over at Dabi every once in a while

Dabi prospective

"Dabi we're are you taking me?" (u) ask's as I lead her down the street "you'll see" I say counting to walk down the street and eventually me and (u) get to the entrance of a carnival "oh wow!!!" (u) smiles brightly starting to get exited as she jumps up and down in joy "and we're really going here!?" (u) ask's grinning "of corse why els would we be here?" I roll my eye's and (u) smiles dragging me inside of the fair grounds leading me from stand to stand playing games riding rollercoasters and having a surprisingly good time "hay (u) that looks cool" I say pointing to the tallest rollercoster with a scull on the side and people screaming at the big drop "w-wow yeah th-that looks like a lot of f-fun let's do it" (u) nods and we get in line

"D-dabi I'm having seconds thoughts!!!" I panic as me and Dabi are fastened into the ride "there's no going back now (u)!" Dabi grins 'wow he looks like he's having fun' I think looking over at Dabi as the ride starts and I hold onto the safety belt tightly as we slowly creek up the drop off of the roller coaster "I'm gonna kill you after this Dabi!!!" I shout Clinging to Dabi's arm as the rides stoped ontop of the drop off "hold on tight!" Dabi grins and the rollercoaster drops over the side and my stomach does flips as I close my eye's tightly "DABI!!!" I scream "hahah! Open your eye's (u)!!" Dabi laughs so I squint one eye open to see an amazing view of the city

"feeling any better?" I ask (u) as we'v sat down at a table after (u) could bearly stand stumbling off the ride "yeah sorry" (u) apologizes 'what's she sorry for? She apologizes a hole heck of a lot' I think looking down at (u) while she rests her head on the table "it's alright..." I say hesitantly moving a strand of hair from (u)'s face and I can see her smile slightly "what do you want to eat?" I ask "umm.... (favorite carnival food) please" (u) says and I nod walking over to the food stand we'v sat at to order some food

'Dabi's being awfully nice... he never lets me chose what we eat' I think smiling to myself but then someone taps my shoulder "huh?" I question turning around to see a bashful boy with brown hair and freckles smiling nervously "I-I'm really sorry to bother you Miss but my friends dared me to ask you out" the boy blushes and I smile "sorry but I'm hear with my boyfriend" I apologize "right I understand sorry for bothering-" "I suggest you disappear by the count of 3" I hear Dabi growl threateningly while he's stood behind me and the boy jumps dashing back over to his snickering friends and I look over at Dabi making myself smaller getting ready to be yelled at and his expression seems angry enough to slap me as he opens his mouth to speak but as soon as he looks in my eye's his agitation slowly fades and he sighs sitting down infront of me handing me my food "umm... I hope you understand that wasn't anything Dabi the guy was just-"

Dabi prospective

"I know stop talking and eat" I say and (u) jumps nodding before mumbling a nervously sorry beofre she looks down at her food shuffling under my gaze 'I'm the reson she apologizes so much...' I think guiltily looking at (u) as her smile slowly returns "hay (u) after this what do you want to do?" I ask "u-um after this? Don't you-" "I'm asking what you want to do" I say "o-oh right.... well... there's a movie iv been wanting to watch I got the DVD last week.... I was hoping to watch it with you after our date yesterday" (u) says 'why didn't realize iv been hurting her sooner?' I wonder

(U) prospective

As me and Dabi exit the fair grounds I look around and see the suns already set 'I missed the sun set' I think walking down the street with Dabi looking into shop windows and I see a couple across the street smiling and laughing as they talk outside of a small cafe 'cute couple...' I think watching them walk down the side walk hand in hand with a longing smile I sigh and to my surprise Dabi grabs my hand holding my much smaller hand in his and i stair up at him in shock "if you want somthing... just ask..." Dabi says red faced and I smile "thank you Dabi" I thank him and his eye's widen a bit before he looks away mumbling "...don't mention it"

I take a shower while (u) sets up the movie and as I'm showering I can't help but feel guilty 'I seriously can't remember why I stoped treating (u) right' I think as thoughts of her always smiling no matter what I did run threw my head 'when was the last time I told her I love her?' I wonder drying off and getting dressed before I walk into me and (u)'s bedroom that I probably haven't sleep in in over a month "so what are we watching?" I ask sitting down next to (u) and she smiles "you'll see" (u) says playing the tv and my eye's widen as a recording of old photos and videos of us play

I smile softly watching a video of Dabi putting flowers in my hair the one time we went to a flower garden and I laugh remembering how he tripped and fell into a bush of gorgeous flowers they were all over him and he smelt like flowers for a week after that "I'm sorry..." I hear Dabi says as he watches the recording confusing me "what?" I question "Sorry... for being such an awful boyfriend...." Dabi says 'He's apologizing!?!' I think wide eye'd and I sigh as my expression softens "Dabi.... *sigh* your not an awful boyfriend" I tell Dabi rubbing his shoulder as he's faced away from me "yesterday I pretended to be sick so I wouldn't have to go out with you" Dabi says "I know" I nod "the week before I almost hit you" Dabi says as his voice raises "I know" I nod agin "and that one time I got drunk and yelled at you!" Dabi says as he starts to tremble "I remember" I sigh "and I frogot about your birth day last year!" Dabi cries out "I know" i nod "i made you cry!" Dabi says as his voice cracks "I know" i sigh "if you know then why stay!?" Dabi ask's shouting

"Simple" (u) says softly "because I love you Dabi" (u) smiles making me feel even more guilty and i stair back at her blinking unable to cry "I'm so sorry" I apologize hugging (u) tightly "I'm sorry I promise I'll be better I swear"
