"So how are you?" Liv asked
"Okay, no. We're not going to start with the 'how are you' and 'are you okays'. I'd rather not...What happened last term with Seb happened. It's in the past. We've all moved on from it. I'm fine. Now, let's talk like we used to" Naomi urged
She had managed to get into her flat unnoticed the night she came back, well besides Elijah seeing her but she was pretty sure he didn't realise who she was. She only had a few days left of term and she intended on spending it drama free. No boys. No arguments. No complicated relationships. She just needed a break from it all. She came to uni for a degree and friends, she never expected all of this to happen. She just hoped the last few days would go well.
"Okay, um well there's not much to talk about" Eliza said
"We got the house" Liv announced
"Oh shit yeah, it's a five bedroom, two bathroom house. It's literally like around the corner from the uni campus and the boys house is like a five minute walk away from ours" Tiana explained
"You got my deposit and everything?" Naomi asked
"Yeah, yeah it's all sorted don't worry" Liv confirmed
"Yeah it's us four plus Jessica" Eliza added
"So anything else you guys need to fill me in on?" Naomi drawled
"Um not really, just that Theo's gone" Tiana mentioned, watching Naomi's face to see if she would show anything when she mentioned his name. She remembered how serious Theo had gotten about their practice talk. He was actually ready to talk to Naomi.
After their practice talk, Tiana had decided to ask Theo whether he truly liked Naomi or was just messing with her cause everything seemed to just be so sudden. Although, when Theo finally answered explaining to Tiana that he did not know why he liked Naomi or what he actually wanted at the end of things, but all he knew was that he wanted her in his life, Tiana could hear the seriousness in his voice and the sincerity in his eyes. She couldn't believe that fuckboy Theo had finally met his match in the girl next door but Naomi had no clue the power she had over Theo. It was crazy to her.
"Gone?" Naomi furrowed her brows. After everything she didn't think he would drop out. She felt a pang in her chest, not ever knowing if she'd ever see him again. Not knowing what his true intentions were that night in his room. Not knowing if he truly meant what he said about liking her. Not knowing if she could explore that and if she truly liked him bac-.
"Gosh Tiana don't be so dramatic, he's in Manchester" Eliza pointed out
"Oh...why?" Naomi asked, suddenly feeling a lot easier that he wasn't actually gone. She felt like she could breathe again. Dramatic, but that's what she felt. She couldn't describe it. She didn't want him to go.
"He's playing some big football match up there, and he's coming back on Friday night or Saturday morning though" Liv answered, hoping to ease Naomi's nerves about Theo. She knew they hadn't seen each other since the party and Theo needed to talk to her but she had no clue what was going on in Naomi's head. She hadn't really spoken to Theo either after that, just a few times when he had asked where Naomi was or whether she was back yet.
"Oh okay" Naomi said with no emotion. She felt like the girls were watching her and she didn't know why.
"Yeah, so we're going to start moving our stuff into the house this week cause we have the time" Eliza explained
"Great" Naomi smiled
"Wait, when are you leaving?" Liv interrupted, realising there was only a couple days left of term and she already knew when everyone else was leaving but Naomi didn't tell anyone
"My return ticket is booked for Sunday" Naomi said knowing she'd either be the first or very last person to leave the flat
"Oh shit, so we definitely need to have an end of year party on Saturday then" Tiana rushed out. She had to hide her shock in some way. She didn't know Naomi would be leaving that soon, she needed to text Theo. He needed to get back ASAP.
"I thought there was already one planned in the courtyard" Liv remembered
"Oh my gosh yeah there is one, it completely slipped my mind" Eliza added
"So basically the rest of this week is just to move everything we aren't taking home into the new house with the help of some of the boys and then plan what we're wearing for the party on Saturday and then goodbyes?" Liv confirmed
"Well not really goodbye, we'll see each other in September" Naomi mentioned
"Yeah but it's going to be weird we've been living together since September last year and now it's practically June" liv replied. She was also considering the panic on Theo's face if he didn't get back in time to see Naomi before he left.
"Enough of the sappy shit, let's get sorting and then we can plan outfits" Naomi laughed
"Naomi..." Eliza started, smiling at her friend
"Ugh, yeah of course you can go through my wardrobe" Naomi rolled her eyes already knowing what she was insinuating
"Yay!" Eliza yelled, going to hug Naomi
"Ah, ah. Nope. I don't do hugs" Naomi rushed out, stepping away from Eliza
"Since when?" Liv asked
"Since forever, I don't like them. If I ever give you a hug it's either because I feel like you or I really need it in that moment or I'm just drunk out of my mind hugging everyone who I see" Naomi expressed
"But I swear you've hugged all of us in the past" Liv pointed out
"Yeah but I probably wasn't thinking but I'd prefer not to" Naomi answered
"What about if you get a boyfriend and he wants to hug you" Eliza asked
"Ha! Boyfriend, we all know I don't do boyfriends" Naomi snorted, which slightly faded as she realised she wouldn't know what to do if Theo wanted to be her boyfriend. If he did actually mean what he said to her in his room. If he truly liked her. She wouldn't want to hurt him but she didn't want that commitment of having a boyfriend and being in a relationship.
"Oh yeah I forgot, you're Naomi, the one who doesn't do relationship but only situationships and friends with benefits" Tiana teased
"Exactly" Naomi smiled as he couldn't help but overthink the Theo situation again
"Okay yeah that or whatever your man at the time is, what happens if he wants to hug you?" Liv asked
"Nothing happens, we don't hug. I'll happily have sex with him instead but I just don't do hugs, okay? It's hard to explain. I don't even cuddle with boys after we do stuff together, I can't even share a bed with a boy. I just don't sleep, I just lay wide awake if they in the bed with me" Naomi expressed
"Wait so you've never fallen asleep in the same bed as a boy? Not even 'ugh' when he slept over on Halloween?" Liv asked
Naomi's heart rate picked up when she remembered Halloween. At first she had no clue who Liv was referring to as 'ugh' and her mind instantly went to her time in the lift with Theo. The time when she actually did fall asleep with a boy but she never would mention it. She'd never tell anyone that. She realised Liv was talking about Seb.
"No I usually sneak out. But that night in particular i went for a walk until it was early enough in the morning for him to be half awake, ready to leave and I could have my bed to myself" she lied, remembering how in-fact she spent the night with Theo in the lift and had a whole sex dream about him, then running back to her room and remembering Seb was in there and she spent the rest of her time on her laptop doing work, wide awake until Seb left.
"Fam you're just weird, but it's you so I kinda had to expect an answer like that" Tiana stated
"Yeah little miss commitment issues" they all laughed
"Oh shut up and let's start packing, we need to get a move on if we want to be done before Saturday" Naomi announced
