As any other queer woman I love seeing any queer representation on screen. I'm desperate for any bit of sapphic relationships I find.

This is an amazing show which was definitely ahead of it's time and is criminally underrated.
It has your typical teenage drama but gay and sometimes that's exactly what you need. I loved watching these two girls exploring their sexuality and falling in loving. But like any teenage drama they also have their ups and downs.
I won't say that their relationship was all rainbows and unicorns, they break up more than once and obviously there has to be a homophobic parent but all is well at the end.
Though one of the few things I did not like about the show is the relationship between the girls was not shown as explicitly as they did with between a boy and a girl. Though for a show in the mid-2000s they did the best they could.
I also loved the ending they gave to Spencer and Ashley, not only did the show gave them a happy ending but they also made it permanent in a 5 year after finale episode where we can see both of them with a son.
