As a huge mystery fan and a lover of women, this series had everything I needed. Based on the book by the same name but a lot more gayer, this series had not one but two wlw couples in the lead. It's about a boy who lost his dad but it turns out there's more to him than he knew and so starts the searching and mystery.

I genuinely liked the mystery and was surprised by the plot twists and coming from an Agatha Christie fan that's saying a lot. Now coming to our adult sapphic relationship, I was sucked in from the moment they met, as much as I would have preferred that their relationship wasn't an affair especially since Ken seemed like a nice guy, the ex-best- friends-who-slept-together-and-then-one-of-them-ran-away-because-they-were-scared into lovers again trope hit me right in the spot and thankfully Hannah divorces her husband.

Another thing I absolutely loved is the teenage drama, despite the mystery going around they managed to make the drama juicy without making it unnecessarily dark (Ahem... Euphoria), with Ema and Whitney going through sapphic teenage angst and then betrayal. Also, the fact that teenagers are teenagers but also have multitudes is just so rare, the nerd/geeky character isn't constantly bullied and stands up for himself, the jocks are jerks but not extreme enough to be bullies and when one of them does theatre he is cheered and motivated by his fellow jocks?? Love to see it.

Unfortunately, it was cancelled because Amazon Prime is a piece of shit, but fortunately, it doesn't have that much of a cliffhanger with most of the mystery of S1 getting solved and although Hannah and Shira haven't labelled their relationship yet they look pretty comfy by the end of the series.
