~ Becca's POV ~

Scott walked over to where Theo and I were sitting and he looked uncomfortable.

"I really hate to do this, but I think we'll make more progress if Becca waits outside for right now."

Theo's expression changed to protective and angry really quick. It was hard enough on him to have me in that room with these men who wanted me dead but to separate us, that was a whole new level of emotion.

"You can choose if she stays with Peter or Liam. She can stay with them both if you prefer." Scott tried to reassured him.

Theo looked over at me then back to Scott.

He let out a sigh of defeat, he knew he couldn't argue his way out of this one.

"Would you like them both to stay with her?" Scott questioned.

"Yes, thank you."

Theo leaned over and kissed me.

I stood up to head outside and he held my hand until he couldn't anymore, watching me walk away.

I made my way outside to Peter and Liam.

"Hello boys."

"Hey Becca." Liam said with a smile.

"I'm sorry you guys miss out on the action, standing out here can't be any fun."

Peter shrugged.

I sat on the ground, leaning against the building, Liam sat next to me.

"What will you do after this war is finally over, Liam?"

"I'd like to take some college courses and maybe find what you and Theo have." He stated.

This made me smile.

"You're going to do amazing things in life Liam."

He flashed that adorable smile at me that always makes him look like he is proud of something.

"What do you think you and Theo will do once the war is over?"

"I'm not sure, but I know we'll be happy when life calms down and we don't have to fear for our lives whenever we step outside."

"He's always going to be protective and worried about you. Whether there is a war or not."

"Honestly, it's one of the things I love about him. Theo is my safe haven; he is my home."

~ Theo's POV ~

I know I'm supposed to be paying attention to what's going on in front of me but I couldn't help but listen to Liam and Bec talking outside.

"What do you think you and Theo will do once the war is over?" Liam asked.

"I'm not sure, but I know we'll be happy when life calms down and we don't have to fear for our lives whenever we step outside." She said calmly.

She was right about that; I can't wait for that.

"He's always going to be protective and worried about you. Whether there is a war or not."

He's not wrong.

"Honestly, it's one of the things I love about him. Theo is my safe haven; he is my home."

I couldn't help but smile to myself. She actually loved when I was protective over her. I know she can take care of herself; she can be downright scary if she wants to be. But she knew my protectiveness comes from a place of love.
