Soooo. Making some angst because everything's been
too fluffy lately☺️

Kakashi turned to see the consequences. He never saw this type of consequence lie
in front of him, but he was now. This was different than his father.

Kakashi rushed over, pushing with all his strength, the rock was too heavy. He
pushed till his arms went numb. The thick air around the three making
them all tense and Kakashi loose his strength.

"Don't.. it's useless Kakashi" Obito said weakly.

Kakashi fell to the ground, Rins silent crying in the distance.

Kakashi hit the ground. Why? Why did his best friend have to be in this
situation because of him. Because of Kakashi's decisions.

"It's too late, Kakashi.." Obito coughed "remember what I.. said?" He asked.

Kakashi looked up at Obito, his eyes blurry with tears.
"I told you.. to never open it till I told you.."

~Flashback~

Rin rushed over to Kakashi, a happy face "here you go Kakashi! Congrats
on becoming a Jonin!" She handed him a box.

Minato walked up "yes Kakashi, I'm am so proud of you.." Minato smiled.
"Take this" he handed him a Kunai.

Obito looked away, he had been debating himself and he decided
to do it.
"Here.." he handed Kakashi a necklace with a lock "don't open it alright.
at least not until I say okay!" He yelled.

Kakashi looked down at the necklace, it had a silver chain forming
it and a small charm at the end. The charm was sapphire blue and had
a lock on it, easily opened.

Kakashi looked up "what's inside?" He asked.

"You'll know when I tell you, you can open it!" Obito shouted.

Kakashi pulled it over his head and held the sapphire, sure his
curiosity killed him but he could wait. He was a patient person.

~end of flashback~

Kakashi looked down at the necklace around his neck.
"Obito... what's.. what's in here?" He asked.

Obito opened his eyes "it's something I've wanted to.. say to
you for a while" he said.

Rin glanced at the locket "Obito.." she covered her mouth
as she cried.

Kakashi anxiously looked at the lock. He was kind of nervous. Why
would Obito wait till he died to show Kakashi what was in the
locket?

Kakashi slowly opened it, hearing the area around them start
to shake and tremble.

"It's falling apart!" Rin stood, looking up at the cave.

Kakashi couldn't hear her. His eyes elsewhere.

Rin grabbed Kakashis arm, running out the cave.

Kakashi took one glance at Obito, more and more tears flowing
as he watched him grow further, and further.

~

Kakashi looked down at the grass, seeing the rain land on the ground.
He looked at the locket in his hands. Maybe if he had done something,
it would've been different.

He looked up at the tombstone in front of him, tears streaming
down his face. Obito was gone, and it was all his fault.

He wiped his tears, looking away. It took Obito dying to tell
Kakashi he could look inside that locket, and Kakashi wished
he did sooner. He wished he let his curiosity get to his head.

Inside the locket, was a small message, Obito had felt the same. Obitos
confession lied around Kakashi's neck for so long, and he could've told
the raven haired boy he felt the same.

If only he let his curiously get to his head, maybe he would get
to actually kiss the boy he's wanted to kiss for so long. But he decided
to be a good person. He decided to play by the rules.

Kakashi took off the necklace, looking at it in his hands. He made
a promise to never take it off when outside. He loved Obito, and that
necklace in his hands was the only thing that he felt connected him and
the dead boy he once loved.
