Finally, it's Friday. God knows how I'm trudging through this shit.

I didn't have any classes in the afternoon so I just went home to my dad.

Mom's gone. She didn't even say bye to me. Dad told me that she'd come back from time to time and that they were planning on getting divorced soon.

And you know what, I can't wait for that day to come.

But then I don't want it to, either.

UGH. I want to cry, is what I want to do. This is all fucking me up.

"Kaitlyn," I hear Dexter right before I enter maths.

I stop and turn to him.

"What was that, yesterday?" He glowers at me.

"Why does it matter to you, fuckface?" Xavier comes from behind, draping an arm over my shoulder. I look up at his grey eyes that are twinkling. "You okay?" He asks so sincerely as he places a sweet kiss on my forehead.

Holy fuck.

I hold my breath, blinking at him.

"What the fuck?" Dexter looks between Xavier and I. "You're still going after him?"

"Again. Why does it matter to you, fucknugget," Xavier smirks. "We've got class starting, see ya," as he drags me to my seat.

"You're a bad actor, Princess," Xavier whispers into my ear before depositing me to my chair and going one row back, sitting right behind me.

I'm still seated next to Talia, who's glaring at me. I glare right back.

I'm a bad actor.

Right... that was all pretend...

Xavier would never be sweet to me. Not again.

You know this, Kaitlyn.

Fuck. Whatever.

I sit down.

"I didn't know I was best friends with a slut," Talia looks me up and down. Dana snickers from her seat.

These girls, I swear. Vipers, all of them.

"I didn't know your fucked up brain was broken too, Talia, considering you're unable to take a damn hint. I blocked you, remember? It means get the fuck out of my face."

Xavier snickers, Hawk beside him doing the same. Hawk gives me a high five. Sweet boy.

Talia glares daggers at me. "Save it," I interrupt her. "I don't have time for the garbage that's sure to exit your mouth." Then turn to Mr Johnson whose explaining how to calculate the arc of a circle.

"Not bad," I hear Xavier from behind me.

I hide my smile, giving myself a mental pat on the back.

"Your plan is going great so far," Luna tells me as we head to the library to chill out.

"I'm glad," I tell her genuinely. So far, Molly has kept to herself to try to salvage her reputation. Dexter and Talia have gotten enraged by my behavior, which is exactly what I wanted. Otherwise... I'm getting a lot of attention now. From boys. The kind that makes me what to hide, because Dexter always protected me from it.

But Xavier is throwing me to the sharks when I don't even know how to swim yet.

But I won't cower, like I said before. I can deal with the stares. Maybe.
