On Saturday, Luna and I meet up at the bookstore. Mala coming a few minutes later.

"You've read Icebreaker by Hannah grace?" Luna asks me. "It's a hockey romance. It's amazing."

"Oh my god, yes. It's so good," I gush.

"Nathan Hawkins can end me," Luna swoons. "That man is something else."

Mala snickers. "She told me that's why she's dating Sebastian. Because he's really hot when he's playing hockey."

I laugh. "Poor Sebastian."

"What? I've even told him this. If he wasn't playing hockey, he wouldn't be dating me. Hockey men are everything. Have you seen them when they are sweaty?" Luna sighs.

"Haven't seen them sweaty," I chuckle.

Luna smirks. "You will soon."

I cock my head, not understanding.

"Xavier, Kaity. Xavier. He's the damn captain."

Oh. Right. My ex-bestie. My fake man.

"Am I dumb?" I ask incredulously. I've seen each of Xavier's game tapes. I know what his record has been like throughout his school career.

I used to ice skate back in the day, and try to play against Xavy. He was obviously always better than me, but I loved trying to support him. I know hockey is his career path, and I admire that he knew that from such an early age.

And so... even if it went against Dexter, I still kept up with Xavier's games. Because I always loved watching hockey...

"It's okay," Luna chuckles. "You're new to this."

I'm really not... but it's fine. It feels like I'm getting to know the new Xavier, so maybe I am new to it.

"And then there's me with my computer science oriented boyfriend," Mala chuckles. "That man doesn't leave his room often."

"But..." Luna encourages.

"He doesn't need to leave his room to give me attention," Mala blushes, making me laugh.

"Damn," I shake my head.

Luna smirks. "You should meet him, Kaity. He isnt' like the traditional nerd computer guy stereotype."

"Really?"

"My baby belongs to the fashion magazine," Mala sighs. "But only if he'd actually take my opinions and go into modelling. He says it's too much work."

"Is Xavier a model?" I ask instead. Who knows what other things he's done in five years.

Luna gives me an evil smile. "He belongs there too, doesn't he?"

I scoff. "I think the girls would rip their eyes out if they saw him."

Which basically translates to: Yes. He'd put most actors to shame with his looks.

"You keep saying that to yourself," Luna throws over her shoulder, as she goes in search of books. "But you will pull a Mala situation."

"Mala situation?" I aks.

"I denied he looked good for a solid two months before I caved. God, his smile..." Mala looks at the ceiling.

I snort. "Then you are holding your breath, Luna. Because I'm caving over my dead body."

"If you say so," she sings.
