Penda POV
I didn't feel like cooking breakfast this morning and neither did Shon so why not eat out? We let the kids, Paradise and Lorenzo decide what sounds good to them. They picked Waffle House so now here we are on a 'family date' I guess you can say.

Sitting down at the restaurant, Dashon was the first one to finish his food.

"Y'all enjoying your food?" He asked us. "Yes. I have not had Waffle House in a while." I replied. "Yeah, me too." He related.

"How do you like yours?" I asked him. "I was the first one to finish my food, right?" He hinted with a smirk. "Oh... you being smart?" I peeped.

"Not being smart, I'm just giving you a hint baby." He said chuckling afterwards. "Yeah right." I said playfully rolling my eyes.

"Renzo, Paris, what do you think about the food?" I asked my children.

"It's good mommy." Paris answered. "I'm glad you think so. Renzo?" "It's good. Pancakes are still better though." He debated.

"I dwisagree." The four year old little girl opinionated.

"Yeah, me too. Everyone knows waffles is better. What's wrong with your brother Paris?" Dashon joked. Paris shrugged with a smile.

"Y'all lay off my baby. I agree with him, I think pancakes are better." I defended my son.

"Well me and Paris respectfully disagree. Ain't that right baby girl?" He said as him and Paris did a fist bump.

"Right." "Well, as long as y'all don't disrespectfully disagree then it's fine." Lorenzo spoke.

He chuckled. "Nah, we don't disrespectfully disagree. It's never that serious.... Well sometimes it is but this time it's not." He corrected himself.

Meanwhile in my head I'm still wondering how my babies are really feeling. I know Dashon talked to them about it but still..

"I know this is a sensitive topic but how are y'all feeling about... your dad?" I questioned.

"I know Shon talked to y'all about it but... I want to know do you still the feel the same or has things changed?" I continued.

"It hurts and it's confusing but just like you said, we'll understand when we get older. Plus Shon said he will always be here for us so.." I cut him off before I knew it.

"He.. he did what now?" I didn't say it in an angry tone but more so of in a shocking kind of way. Although Dashon and my kids could tell that I was not for this at all.

"I-" Dashon started but couldn't get his words out. "Did I.. say something wrong? I'm sorry ma I didn't know.." my son apologized.

"You said nothing wrong sweetie it just.. caught me off guard that's all." I somewhat lied.

"Are you sure?" My son wondered. "I'm sure." I assured him. Dashon looked at me with 'I'm sorry' eyes knowing that I want an explanation from him later today.

The throuple...

Lauren POV
Me and Keisha are both in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Im cooking the grits and she is cooking the sausages. We figured it would be cool since we never did this before.

"We need to do this more often boo. Team work make the dream work." Keisha said as she pecked me on the lips before sitting down at the table.

"Yes it does." I replied with a smile as I pulled a chair from the table and sat down too.
