2010:

❝𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐅𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐎 𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐄𝐃, 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐉𝐀𝐇!❞

Elijah let a loud laugh escape him as he caught his wife in his arms.

"I can not help it, I was gifted useful abilities, my darling."

She twists in his arms, and using his clothes brings him down to her level. "Would you like to know a secret?"

"From you?" He murmured, his lips centimetres away. "Always."

"My heart longs for you." She whispered, her lips hovering in front of his. "Even when you are near, it calls out your name."

Elijah smiles softly before smashing his lips on hers.

"This is not real."  She murmurs between kisses.

"This is very real, my darling." He let a breathly laugh escape.

Jasmine put her hands on his chest, pushing him away. "No, this is not real, Elijah."

His expression turned confused. "What do you mean, my love?"

"This is not real!" She shouted as their garden fell away. "Get out!"

His eyes focused on hers.

"I have yet to find my way back to you."

She started shouting more.

"Get out!"

"Leave!"

"Never return!"

Elijah gasped awake.

He's been having that same exact dream for a week now.

Dreaming of a memory, then she starts screaming for him to leave.

It has been six centuries and forty years since she misted away from him, leaving a yellow stemmed jasmine and a yellow coin for him to hold on to.

Still, it's enough for him.

To hope is enough for him.

He sighed, staring at the yellow stemmed jasmine, noticing something different.

Something that wasn't there yesterday.

Or the day before that.

The bright yellow stem of the flower has turned more green than its usual golden yellow.

He would've told William about this, had he not vanished off the face of the earth.

The Adelore is good at hiding and even better at not being found.
