HOW'S THAT LEG, USER SAM REED?

Most people would assume lying around until a broken leg heals would be the best way to go about it.


But they couldn't be more wrong.

Not allowing any movement for a healing leg would deplete its muscles and worsen the healing process in the long run.

Limited motor function is advised, but Sam was introduced to another helpful technique- massages.

Jason was insistent on gently massaging her leg now and then.

He explained that massages decrease inflammation and aid in the bony callus formation process, replacing the blood clots.

His survival intelligence proves time and time again to be plentiful.

Her pale knuckles tightened as she held on tight to the wooden crutches. The handstitched cushions laid under her armpits. It wasn't as comfortable as a pillow, but the implied freedom was a great trade-off.

After much deliberation and secretary- Jason made two crutches just for her.

Not only was he a survival expert- he was incredibly handy. When he wasn't in a zombie-like state guarding against trespassers... he was woodworking!
