I couldn't help but think about the vision again and again. It had been on my mind since we got here last night. As I watched my father ask where the archives were in the Smithsonian I couldn't help but recall it perfectly. These were memories, not visions of Ahkmenrah's past. I was Ramla's some sort of reincarnation maybe and this gave a deep satisfaction as for the first time time three years I was learning more about who I was. Alike three years ago I was learning about my past with Ahkmenrah.

"Young Ramla, you know what you are summoned here for correct?" Pharaoh Merenkahre held up a jewelled hand and the guards dismissed suddenly leaving the throne room, shutting the double doors quickly. I stood straighter and met the pharaoh's eyes. "Yes Pharaoh."

Since the last time I had seen my king, he had more life in him. My Pharaoh seemed like his sickness was getting to him. He was paler now and he seemed weaker. "Very good guardian Ramla, come with me." I followed the Pharaoh, my eyes full of concern when he coughed and his body rattled. "My king, are you alright."

"Ramla," Pharaoh Merenkahre spoke softly as I watched him carefully with worried eyes. "I fear my eldest son is troubled." A frown came over my face, trying to piece the puzzle together. "Prince Ahkmenrah." I breathed, panicking. A wave of thoughts crashed over, Kahmunrah was jealous.

"Ramla, I believe there is no way of protecting my son once I am gone and I can not to part from my youngest son neither will my queen. You are Ahkmenrah's guardian and the protector of his tablet. No matter what it costs you will protect him even in death."

I met my kings serious eyes but I saw that he was pleading. He knew that he hadn't much time left, he was entrusting me with one of the most respected tasks he would ever ask. Within seconds I was on my knees my head bowed in respect for my king with no hesitation. "I pledge myself to Ahkmenrah, in life or death, forever."

My king gave a kind smile, "I thank you, I know how you love my son." A panic spread throughout my body, my eyes widened. I was prepared to be punished. "We will keep this to ourselves. Ahkmenrah mustn't know, Ramla. This forbidden desire must not be put in front of your duty. Ahkmenrah has his and you have yours, if you truely love him you will do what I ask."

The mask that I had always used to hide my emotions, was crumbling, burning away. I was showing vulnerability, and to the last person ever I should have, the king. Tears stained my eyes and I closed them. A  comforting hand was nestled on my shoulder, Pharaoh Merenkahre, my king was comforting me.

"It's forever Ramla. Don't forget that, true love is enteral. You know your duty. The tablet of Ahkmenrah is more powerful than you know. You must remember that. Even after death." I gazed at my pharaoh confused but nodded. "Meet me here tomorrow and at dusk. We have a lot to discuss."

My father joked with the woman, the tour guide as I gazed at the planes in the air. Many of the tourists looked at one another confused. I breathed quickly, my fingers grasping the necklace. I blinked quickly, trying to focus. "Ahkmenrah." I breathed, at the woman's response. How could I protect Ahkmenrah from his brother? How could I save him? When I couldn't even get down to the archives. Ahkmenrah being in such danger was tearing me whole. I knew what Kahmunrah was like, I had witnessed his thirst for blood – he killed his own brother.

My my father saw my distress and I had a comforting arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry Fey," my father said quickly. "I'm back."
A shock escaped through my mouth, a whimper. My father saw my tired eyes and the sadness laced through them.

A wariness settled in my stomach, I didn't know what would happen once we found them. I didn't know how I could save Ahkmenrah. Forever, echoed in my mind again. I knew no matter the cost, no matter the price I would save Ahkmenrah even if my life was the cost.

I could hear the gentle, the voice smooth it echoed in my mind, the voice that was my own, thick in an accent promising to protect Ahkmenrah forever. "Forever," I whispered clutching the necklace tightly.
