I was crawling through the vents when I saw a dazed mailman walk though the front door and try to get through the scanners. The receptionist, Holly, stopped him with a confused look on her face and asked him a question. The mailman seemed to push her aside and said something that made Holly step aside and let him through. I frowned, that was weird. It must be important then, Holly never let anybody through unless they had a badge or it was really really important. I crawled back to the common room and dropped out onto the floor. Peter didn't even look up as he said hello and Tony didn't acknowledge me. Just then the mailman walked in and asked,
"Where is Black Widow?" His eyes were glazed over and he had a dreamy look on his face. I looked over at Tony and we shot suspicious looks at each other.
"We can take it for her." I said, as I took a few steps toward him. He practically hugged the letter in his hands.
"No. No one else can see this, I need Black Widow." I was confused, maybe it was confidential. I shrugged and told him that she was down in the training area. He looked confused, and I knew he didn't know where to go. I sighed.
"I'll show you where to go." He nodded and followed me out of the room. As we were walking I took a look at the letter in his hands. On the front of the envelope, I saw in big, messy letters, Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff, and something about being warned. The letter suddenly fell out of his hand and I rushed to pick it up. I could see the message clearly now. If anyone else reads this I will take their heads off! You have been warned. Sheesh who was this from? The mailman whipped it from my hands and told me to bring him to the training room. I directed him into the room and we found Natasha sparring with Steve. "Hey Nat!" she looked over for a split second and then went back to her fight. She let Steve pin her and then she came over to us. The mailman shoved the letter into her hands and then he proceeded to walk out of the room. She looked at the title and smiled. I noticed. "You got something to tell me?" She glared and said,
"No Clint, go climb around in your vents or something."
"But I want to know who it's from." I whined.
"I would like to know too." Steve said walking up to us. She rolled her eyes and simply said,
"A friend who I thought wouldn't contact me. Now if you don't mind i'm going to read my letter without you two bugging me." She strutted out of the room, and I decided to follow her. About two steps out, a knife came flying by my head, impaling itself in the wall behind me. "Don't even think about it Clint." came Nat's voice from around the corner. I sulked and tried to get through the vents. She had blocked me out. Great, now I had to figure out who wrote that letter. I would find a way. Just you wait.
