It all started with Anjali being forced to getting married to a stranger, but the groom's family didn't turn up on the wedding day. The Oberoi's who were also present there, put forward the proposal of Ridhanth marrying Anjali. As a requiem to her dead parents. Anjali agrees to it as it is the last wish of her grandmother who is terminally ill to see her get married. Ridhanth agrees to it, seemingly helpless, but finally they get hitched. It was a private affair, about which no one except the family knew.
On the other side Raichand's have no idea that Anjali was getting married in the first place.
Anjali was shaken by the turn of events, and has not quite wrapped her head around what exactly happened. She felt sad as Ridhanth was forced to marry her, she was not sure if their marriage will last. She felt guilty for even considering this fiasco as marriage.
Ridhanth was not opposed to the idea, of marrying a woman who his parents chooses. But this was way too sudden for him, he would have preferred a courtship period. During which they could have gotten comfortable, and known about each other.
