Torn Bonds and Broken Promises

It's been a few days since my family and I have moved to the Sand Village, and today I decided to step out and explore the village myself. As I walked through the sandy streets, I couldn't help but be impressed by the architecture. These buildings looked old, like they were from a different time period. But I could see why this village was regarded as a great spot for Shinobi training. It was isolated, remote, and it had that old time charm, which could make for a perfect training ground.

"Maybe I should also train to become a ninja?" I mumbled to myself. "I mean, it certainly would be exciting if I met some of the characters from the anime."

As I looked around the village, I couldn't help but feel that this would be an adventure unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

As I walked through the villages, I noticed small children running around, playing with a ball. One of them ran up to me and invited me to play.

"Hey, are you new here?" The child smiled at me and tossed the ball in my direction.  "Come play with us?"

I nodded at the child and caught the ball.

A few other children came up to me and said I could join their game. Soon we were in a large circle, tossing the ball back and forth and trying to dodge it.

It wasn't long before everyone was laughing and smiling, having a great time. I was enjoying myself and I felt like I was starting to make friends. It was nice to be included, and to just have fun.

As we were playing soccer ball, the ball landed on the hill. We all looked at each other, unsure of what to do.

"What should we do?" one of the kids said, sounding disappointed. "Can't someone get it for us?" Another asked, looking frustrated.

"I can't reach and I don't want to get in trouble..." I mumbled. "I guess I'll have to climb up there and get it myself."

Suddenly, a sand wrapped around the ball. I looked up and saw a familiar red-haired little boy, standing in front of us. He was smiling as he grabbed the ball with a sandy hand.

"It's here." He said, as the ball landed on his hand. "Oh my, is that Gaara? So cute"

I took the ball from his hand and said "Thank you" with a smile. As I did, I looked at Gaara in surprise. I couldn't believe how adorable he is in real life!

"It's Gaara" the child said with wide eyes.  "Oh gosh, tch it's this scene"

"Gaara of the Sand" another kid said. "Run!" they yelled. "Hey!" I yelled after the kids who had been playing with me, but they were already gone. I didn't bother to catch up to them either, though. They are trash anyway.

I turned to Gaara and saw that he looked scared and sad.

"Are you alright?" I asked, concerned for him. This Gaara wasn't like the Gaara I knew from the anime. Here, he was scared, and even looked like he might cry.

"Don't worry. I'm still here. Do you want to play with me instead?" I said, in an effort to make him feel better.

"All right," he sniffed. I wiped his tear away and we began to play together.

As we played, I loved seeing Gaara smile and laugh. In the anime, we rarely got to see Gaara's softer side in his childhood. But here I was, playing with him and seeing just how gentle and playful he could be.

I had to admit, it was a bit endearing to see this side of him for once. He had never really seemed cruel or scary as the villagers claimed when we were playing together. Instead, he was like any other kid, wanting to have fun, play and enjoying life.
