Lex walked into the lobby fidgeting nervously with her dress. “So.......” She took a deep breath. “How do I look?”

Angel took a step back, his eyes scanning her from head to toe. “Stunning,” he breathed out, his own arousal evident in his eyes. “He’s going to be very lucky tonight.” He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against her lips.

Charlie smiled. “You look absolutely radiant, my dear, I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he sees you like this.”

“It’s not too much?” Lex asked nervously.

Angel chuckled. “Why are you worried..... thought you said this wasn't a date.”

“It’s not a date...” Lex shifted nervously. “I just want to make sure I’m not over dressed.”

“You look fine.” Husk piped up from behind the bar. “I still think you going out with Al is a bad idea tho.”

Charlie raised an eyebrow at Husk’s comment. “Oh, really? And why do you think that?” She asked curiously.

Husk shrugged. “I have my reasons.”

Lex shrugged, trying to play it cool. “I’ll be fine.... I can handle an Overlord.... worked for one for years.”

“You know what they say about handling snakes?” He asked her with a sly grin. “Eventually, you’re gonna get bit.”

Lex smirked. “You know I can handle myself.”

Husk leaned in close so only Lex could hear him. “ I know you can but you need to realize that when your boss met his demise you became a powerful bargaining chip.” He sighed “And given recent events I think being around someone a violent as Al is a bad idea.”

Charlie watched the exchange between Husk and Lex with a curious gaze. Slowly she made her way over to them.  “Is there something I should know?”

“Husk here was just reminding me that my position as a former enforcer to a powerful demon could bring some undesirable attention,” Lex smiled. “ Don’t worry about it tho, I’ll be fine.”

“Alright, well... Just remember that if any trouble does come your way I’m always here to help,” Charlie assured her. “And speaking of trouble,” she added with a smile as Alastor entered the room.

Alastor grinned, his eyes scanning the room before settling on Lex. “Well, aren’t you looking all dolled up?” He approached her, a playful smirk on his face. “Ready to have a good time?”

Alastor’s voice washed over Lex, sending shivers down her spine. She couldn’t help but smile as she looked up at him, feeling the familiar pull she always did in his presence. “Absolutely..” she purred, her eyes locking with his.

Alastor chuckled softly, taking her hand and leading her out of the room. “Good,” he replied with a sly grin. “Because I’ve got just the place in mind.” He smiled. “ We’re going to Mimzys.”

Lex smiled. “Been a hot minute since I’ve been there.”

Arriving at Mimzys, they were shown to their table. As they sat down, a waiter came over to take their drink orders. Lex glanced up at Alastor, noticing his eyes roaming over her body appreciatively. She couldn’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation.

Mimzy watched as Alastor and Lex arrived at her club, a sultry smile spreading across her lips. She sauntered over to their table, her hips swaying slightly in time with the music. “Welcome back suga.. I’m sorry about your boss, But you know what they say... when one door closes, another opens.” She chuckled softly. “ You gonna sing for us tonight doll?”
