Chapter 20

Austin's POV

I'm not gonna lie, I'm terrified right now.

Once I got in the car, I felt the tension crawl on my skin.

Not only am I afraid but also somewhat anxious.

But when Bea walked in on Becky and I hugging, I completely freaked.

She looked at me with her dead eyes and that frightened me.

You may be wondering Why was Becky there or Why was I hugging her?

To start off, I am not with Becky.

I don't think I'll ever be with her again.

Becky was there because she's been helping me with my music and I've been helping her with her passing.

I can tell that the crew doesn't like her anymore. I get it.

It's not that I dont like her, I just hate what she did to me.

She's been a good friend though.

It's quiet in the car now. I'm so tempted to reach over and turn the radio up.

"So ..." I chuckle with the awkward silence.

She didn't bother to look at me, her eyes concentrating on the road.

Bea didn't say anything which freaked me out even more.

"When is your graduati-?" I was then interrupted by my phone going off.

She glanced at me as I fidgeted trying to get my phone from my pocket.

Alex was calling; I cleared my throat and spoke. "Hey AC."

"Why are you calling?" I asked while looking over to Bea. She still didn't look at me.

"I just wanna remind you of something .." He said as I here the 2 laughing in the background.

"What is it?" I chuckled trying to remember what I forgot.

"You have to explain to Bea why you left and never came back ..." Rob shouted through the phone.

I tried covering the speaker because he was being too loud.

The promise I made when we were at Rita's. I completely forgot about that.

I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed heavily.

How can I forget that?

"You forgot didn't you?" I hear Zach ask as I nodded up and down.

"No ..." I lied. "I didn't forget."

"You better not chicken out." Alex scolded while I laughed.

"I won't ..." I lied again.

"Okay. When you get home, say hi to Romo for me." Alex said as I smiled.

I love Romo.

"Don't forget to feed your cat, Austin ... Romo's starting to look thin." Robert reminded me. I forgot again.

"Okay Rob." I laughed through the phone.

"Don't forget to tell Bea! You promised!" Zach shouted intentionally.
