After the long, tiring day had come to an end, I bid everyone bye and walked towards my apartment.

I was still thinking about that mystery letter and the shadow. Who might that person be? Was he the writer of the letter? It might be, or there are two people involved in the sudden turn of events of my life, the stalker and the writer.

I entered my apartment and closed the door. I went to my room and tried to get rid of all sorts of disturbing thoughts. I felt very drowsy too due to lack of sleep the previous night. I jumped on my bed and sleep overtook me in hardly a second.

---

I was all ready to go back to the publisher; I ate my breakfast, had a bath, took whatever files needed and was about to go when I was interrupted by something.

I unlocked my phone and checked my notifications only to find that a new message had arrived... from an unknown number.

Unknown

I'll wait for you. Good luck on publishing your book.

-M.

What the hell?

First letter, then stalking, and now message? How in world did he get my number?

What is happening? I might as well go mental thinking about all the stuff that has happened within such a short span of time. I stood still for about a good ten minutes thinking about this.

My life was so normal after arriving here in London, I felt that I had completely left behind the life I lived back in Chicago, and now all of a sudden I feel my past is picking up and in just one day, everything's changed.

And it all started with some mystery letter.

M, please, I am neither a detective nor do I have a very sharp brain. Why are you after me?

I really need to find out who this person is as soon as possible.

---

"Congratulations, Ms. Lawrence. Your book will be published soon. It might take, like, about one month to finish the publication of this book. Now you can relax and be free of any tension, your book is our duty," Mr. James informed me while I was trying to digest the happiest news of my life.

I don't think I've been this happier ever before, after Hailey of course.

My book is actually getting published!

"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! I really can't express how I am feeling right now. My dream has come true!" I exclaimed while I was grinning and clapped my hands like a crazy seal.

Mr. James laughed as he watched me. "Our pleasure. Now, my daughter has called me a hundred times already to reach home at the earliest, so I shall leave. May we meet again soon," he greeted before he got up from his table and left while I was trailing behind him.

Once I left the building, I took a taxi and started for my apartment. The ride was me feeling super happy, with my insides flipping at the thought of holding my book in my hands. Once I reached, I wasted no time in rushing inside my apartment. My mind was still floating in the air, and I felt as light as the wind. I entered my flat and locked the door before taking out my coat and gloves to keep them on the stand.

I went ahead and sat on the couch with a peaceful mind. I closed my eyes as I smiled genuinely thinking about my dream coming true. My patience has bore me it's sweet fruit as well.

It was always my dream to become a published author. I can't even count the number of times I have imagined this day before. Writing is the only thing in this world to make me happy, it makes me forget my reality. Having created a little world of mine which will now be seen in pages, and now that people will read and live in it, the feeling is surreal.
