Still riding the waves of pride, I was too jazzed up.

I strutted around the room. Realizing, I was cutting it a little close, I hauled ass gathering my clothes I wanted to wear for the interviews and whatever we were supposed to be doing today.

I wanted to look nice and neat, mainly because I did not know what would make it to the final cut.

I came out of the bathroom and Casey did a double take.

"Damn girl, what did you do to Theresa, now I got to find another Psychic before my boss finds out and kills me." She pretended to get busy on her phone.

I rolled my eyes, I didn't look that different. All I did was spent time on the trip –when I wasn't sleeping of course– learning how to curl my hair. I had divided the bottom from the top, pinning back the top and kinda fluffing out the sides in the process, I let some of my bangs fall out.

After spending more time than the video called for I was not ready to try my hand at makeup. I was also wearing a pair of black pants called skinny jeans, I was a little confused about their name at first but now I understand. I was wearing a shirt of a band I did not know, or at least couldn't recall. I was also wearing purple flats, a purple bracelet, and earrings. Casey had to be the one who packed all of this. But I have to admit I look good.

We headed down to the lobby, where we were going to meet the rest of the crew. I wasn't really that nervous, now that I had my charm bag which I turned into a necklace, which was also purple.

I had given Casey hers as soon as I finished them, she was the closest person to me and hers was a shade of pretty pale pink. Xander showed up next; he was a pale gray, he took it happily. Ida, Maddox, and Joe showed up together, I didn't know them too well, so I gave Ida red, Joe blue, and Maddox green. I had to explain it a bit before Ida would wear it, after letting her know that I had a really strong feeling that we needed this.

An awkward silence fell over the group, I feel like I may have come on too strong.

Oh well, too late now.

We were on the road, and surprisingly ahead of schedule. Somehow I managed to not look up the plantation we were going to, I wanted to be surprised, but I really wanted to know how the place looked.

I was hoping it was well maintained, it sounded like it was once the grand home of a grand family. I hadn't looked into the history any more than what I read in that book. Following the Blind Policy, I had to be as naive as possible about our locations.

I had been so wrapped up in my own randomness, that I didn't even think about this until I was staring in the face of one of the most beautiful homes I had ever laid my eyes on.

It had two rows of the most gorgeous live oak trees, leading all the way up to the house. The house itself took up a good bit of the yard, it demanded your attention as you drove up to it.

The whole house was white, with two-story high pillars that made the front entrance look square, there was a porch that ran the length of the house, and also on every side of the second floor.

A desire to run inside the house was building, something was calling to me. I feel my hands starting to tingle, I am so excited.

"Guys I think we should go in now, like right now," I said very fast. I really wanted to be in the house. Xander looked at me with a bit of a shocked expression.

"No, we are here to get most of the shots for the still, or credits or the opening for the season, and interview some people. Also, plan out how we are going to investigate this place, like where to set up base, or the spot cameras." He paused for a moment, screwing up his face as he thought.

"The only way we could really go in is if one of the witnesses wanted to go in." Casey's face lit up.

"Or" She chimed in.

"Theresa and I can go and start working on recording her and her psychic ways." She wiggled her fingers at me, with her eyes wide. Xander looked like he tasted something sour when he saw Casey typing away on her phone.

He sighed and rolled his eyes, finally he just shrugged and nodded.

"I guess that would be OK, as long as you two are careful and have a walkie-talkie." Casey squealed, clapped her hands and put her phone away. I wasn't sure if I was feeling dread or excitement.

After ten minutes of creeping down the driveway, we finally put the car in park and waited for the others to join us. I was too busy staring through the windows, to notice the ground's keeper coming towards us so when he spoke, he scared me right to death.

He laughed loudly at me as I tried to recover and force my heart back down out of my throat. Once he wiped the non-existent tears from his eyes, and I wiped the very much existing glare off mine.

He smiled at all of us while pretty much everyone but me got a camcorder, and got all adjusted.

"Welcome to Southern Oaks Alley Museum, formerly known as South Oaks Plantation. This plantation was once, one of the country's biggest suppliers of Sugar Cane. When Mr. McKay passed this plantation to his oldest, Jacob it was worth $3.5 billion in today's money. They were not always so lucky, they did have their dark spots in their history. I would like to show you around and tell you a bit more about the history and some claims made here."

Xander stepped forward.

"There is only one problem, one of our group can not know anything about the history prior to the investigation, and we were wondering if it would be OK for her and another member to wander around and take some shots for the show?" He looked at the older gentleman with hope.

The older man took a moment, he paced around the porch a bit as he rubbed his chin.

"I think that would be fine as long as you don't go into the closed-off rooms, they will not be opened until right before your investigation." He smiled at me.

Casey and I grabbed what we would need inside the house, we each had a walkie-talkie, a flashlight, a recorder, she had a camcorder, and I had a camera.

The ground's keeper opened the door with a grand flourish as I was walking towards the door, I glanced up and I saw a small light-skinned child dressed in rags, with dirt smudged on his face. He was pressed against the window, with a hand laid on the glass.

As I was looking a darker dainty hand appeared on the child's shoulder and pulled the child off the window and out of view.

Fun Fact: this house is based on a plantation I visited down there, it was breathtaking. At some point, I'll add photos for you guys 😁
