Rhea pov

*The next day*

I couldn't get our of my bed. My body was aching and something was happening in my stomach all night. I tried to get up but the floor was dizzy and I could feel things rise in my throat.

I rushed towards the bathroom and threw my guts out as I opened the tap. My entire body was burning and my head feels like someone put Thor's hammer on it.

I walked back and fell backwards on the bed, I have no energy left in me to go to office, I messaged Sachin to inform the manager that I was taking a sick leave.

I suddenly started feeling cold, I snuggled deep in the sheets and stayed like that. I decided to call Di.

"Hello Rhea," she sounded chirpy, I guess the pregnancy mood swings didn't kick in still.

"How is my niece doing?" I asked imagining her with a little bump. I didn't see her in a while.

"You know it's a niece?" She laughed," we are fine, we are actually going home, it's Vishwa uncle's 25th anniversary, they are celebrating and mom thought it would be good if I visited home once.," She explained.

"Yeah mom told me, is jiju staying with you?" I asked, he must be busy with his office work.

"He is staying for 2 days, I will come back on Sunday again, where are you?" she informed.

"I am in home, didn't felt like going to office today," I managed to say. She would panic if I told I had mild fever.

"Why, are you not feeling well?" She asked.

"No, I am fine a little headache, Preeti was home for 2 days, so we were busy," I covered it up.

"Okay take rest then, bye," she cut the call.

Vikram's POV

I finally finished my work, only a little touch ups left to complete the project, I walked to the balcony deciding to call Bhai.

"Hi Bhai, what's up?" I asked as he lift my call.

"Hey Vikram, I am going with Aarushi to her parent's house," he said. I smiled, he has been taking special care of Bhabhi since she announced her pregnancy.

"How is Bhabhi?" I asked.

"Here, I am giving it to her," he said, there was some rumbling before Bhabhi spoke, " how are you Vikram?"

"I am fine Bhabhi, how are you two doing?" I asked refering to the baby.

"We are great, even Rhea asked about the baby, she thinks the baby is going to be a girl," she laughed.

"Ohh no Bhabhi, mark my words it's definitely a boy," I said, I don't know why but my instincts say it's a boy," how is she?" I asked about Rhea.

"She is good, she didn't go to office today, her friend was visiting her so they spent her weekend busy," she explained.

"Okay Bhabhi, I need to go, will call you later," I said and cut the call.

All day it bugged me, why didn't she go to office, she would have a reason for not going, she was always punctual.

It was evening and I finally decided to call her. It rang for a sometime, at last she lifted it, "hello," she groaned.

I chuckled, she must be sleeping,"Were you sleeping?" I asked.

"Uh.. Vikram?" She asked, " no, no I was just... trying to sleep," she said.

"Didn't you sleep all day?" how can she sleep all day but still try to sleep again?

"Vikr...," before she can speak anything, I hear ruffling,running sounds. I heard water and the sounds of her puking. The water stopped but she didn't speak for a while.

"Rhea," I called her again. I hear her cursing in the background before she spoke, "uh., Yes I am here," she said.

"Are you alright?" I asked her. She must be hiding something.

"I am fine, it's nothing some bad food I guess," she tried to cover it up.

"Are you telling me the truth or do you want me to tell Bhabhi that you vomited?" I asked her keeping this straight.

She sighed, "Fine, I puked like twice okay, I might have a mild fever too, you are not telling Di anything," she warned me.

My mind stunned for a minute, she is not well and she didn't even tell bhabhi who would have taken care of her. She is one stubborn child.

"Did you go to the hospital?" I enquired even though I knew the answer. She would deny it.

"No, there is no need for that," she said right away as I expected.

I don't know to be sorry for her or be angry at her, how can she not go to hospital, she is definitely not well.

"Rhea, I want you to book a cab and go to hospital," I ordered her.

"Why can't you understand? I can't, I am out of my energy. I will be fine if I take rest, now bye ," she cut my call immediately.

Shittt

My mind is going wild as I imagine her being weak and pale, all alone and no one to take care of her.

Should I call someone, but there is no one at home that both of us knew. I am so mad at her, she should have taken some meds when she felt the fever, I guess there is only one option now.

I rushed to my superior, "My work is almost done, the other things can be handled by the team, I have an emergency at home, can I leave?"

"Is that important?, you know this project should be perfect and how prestigious it is for us," he said.

I sighed, " I know, but I need to be there," I said firmly.

"Okay you can go but make sure you inform the others what to do before leaving, okay?" He asked.

"Yes sir, thank you," I smiled.

I spoke to all my sub-ordinates and informed them about their work before booking a flight to home. I need to be there as soon as possible. It's already 8 pm now.

I took a cab to the airport, I was lucky to find a ticket to the upcoming flight. As I board the flight I prayed that Rhea will be alright till I reach.

Yeah I promised a chapter or two, I didn't forget but I was busy all day, so posting this now.
