(Y/N) POV

"Neo!" Pyrrha calls from behind as we walked the halls

Neo is engulfed in a hug as the redhead topples her over. The pair quickly get up and dust any dirt off their clothes.

Neo pouts as Pyrrha apologizes

"I'm sorry, but the greatest thing happened to me today!" She says with a blush as she turns her attention to me

"Ummm, can we talk alone? I'm a little embarrassed by this," she says to Neo as the girl with brown and pink hair turns to me

"You heard her...go on your way," Neo says smugly waving me off

"Yea, yea," I mutter as I leave the two alone. We have been at beacon for a while and we were settling in nicely.

"(Y/N) you're back so soon?" David asks as I enter the dorm room

"Yea, here's what you've asked for," I mutter as I toss him a book.

"Awww, thanks man, where's Neo?" He says

"She's hanging out with Pyrrha,". Answer as I Indigo comes out from the bathroom

"Girl talk I wonder?" She asks me as I shrug

"I was forced out...so maybe," I say as she smirks

"I'mma track them down and join in," she says leaving.

"You wanna binge with me?" David asks holding the book up.

"I'm good, I don't have much interest in books," I say as he nods

"Your loss," he mutters as I look at the time, it's dinner time

"Before you get immersed, wanna grab a bite to eat?" I ask as he also looks at the time.

"Oh wow, I didn't notice," he says as we head down to the cafeteria.

"You reckon we get steak for a meal this week?" I ask David as he laughs

"What kind of rich family do you come from? I highly doubt they will have steak on the menu," he says as I smirk.

"Then what's that?" I ask pointing to steak on the menu

You little.....

"No cursing," I say as he stops thinking

"Let's just eat something," I say as I order food.

"Look, it's team RWBY," David says as I look where he points.

"I hear they took down a Nevermore during the initiation," he says as I study the group.

I quickly learned the name of and appearance of Ruby Rose. I've made it a point of avoiding her, the last thing I want is to be found out and then Neo finding out through her...

I fainted saw it, Neo was sitting with them beside Pyrrha...oh crap.

Thoughts start running through my head as my attention gets drawn to a group of guys surrounding a girl.

I had to squint to see two bunny ears coming from her head...the boys were pulling on them aggressively.

I saw Cardin doing the act of disrespect as he laughs with his team.

I heard a tray drop behind me as I watch David take aggressive and confident steps toward the group of bullies. I tried following him, but my steps were hampered by two things.

First, I wasn't near as confident as he was

2nd...I was carrying a tray of food so I had to take more care in my steps with David did.

Once he reached them, he snatched Cardin's hand away from the girl's ears as he twists the bully's hand.

"Keep your hands to yourself," he mocks Cardin as the boy stared David in the eye

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Cardin says threatening David

This kid is going to learn not to mess with me, I'll get my guys to jump him

"David, if your gonna do something, do it now," I say as David smirks

"I've already wondered what would happen," David says smiling as Cardin looks unsure

"What?" He asks with a hint of worry on his face. It was short-lived as his normal smug attitude returns

"Stop touching me," Cardin says as he swings a punch, David avoided it like it was coming from a mile away.

Cardin was stunned for a bit, but it wasn't because he had missed his punch...no, instead he was missing the hand that David had been holding,

Cardin looks at his hand in fear as he looked at David.

David snapped his fingers and suddenly the hand was back and Cardin was moving it.

"I would advise you to start acting properly. Next time it's not going back on," he says as Cardin nods like a scared little kid.

"Get out of my sight," David says coldly as the team leaves.

"Thanks, Mister," the bunny girl says as it clicks

"Velvet!" I say as she turns to me

"Oh, (Y/N), nice to see ya again," she says. She wasn't smiling by any measure, but I could tell she was happy.

"You two teammates?" She asks pitching her head sideways. I couldn't help but compare it to a cute pup rotating its head as it learns the ins and outs of the world.

"Yep, team MIND," I say as she nods

"Well, thanks for helping me," she says as David and I sit down with her.

"Why don't you fight back?" I ask as she shrugs.

"You learn to deal with those sorts of things," she says

"It shouldn't happen in the first place," David says

"But it does, nothing we can do about it. Although I'd say you dealt with them pretty good," she says to David as he blushes when their eyes meet

"It was nothing," he says as she giggles

"You'll have to watch your back," Cardin says to David as he smiles and disappears

"Yea, that won't be an issue," I say as he appears from nowhere again 

"Wow, that's so cool!" She says a little excited. David starts blushing as the 2nd year girl fawns over him.

"He looks like he is about to pop a fuse," Indigo says sitting next to me

"Yep....on another note, you finally found all of us," I say as she laughs

"Took me a while," she says I nod and look at Neo.

Neo was waving at me with a smile and I waved back.

I looked at the girl in the red cape at Neo's table...I was going to have to talk to her at some point.

Let's hope the mask I wore was enough to hide my identity from the young Rose
