song: thousand eyes by of monsters and men

"Skaigona." A voice says, grabbing my attention from the floor. My heart lurches to my throat as I lift my head.

I raise my chin as I stand, ready for certain death if need be.

"Kom op ai." Come with me.

I don't spare a glance to Finn or Clarke as I walk through the big wooden doors.

"Huk op ai Tris." Let me see Tris. Anya says from up ahead. In the long tunnel ahead, I see her caress a young girl's cheek before kissing her forehead. "Yu gonplei nou ste odon yek." Your fight is not over yet. She stands tall once again and nods to the other grounders. "Hon daun em gon Clarke." Take her to Clarke.

The grounder nods and picks her up and begins to take her to the wooden doors that I just left.

I follow his figure as he walks toward the doors. My eyes squint to make out his build, trying to figure out if I could take him.

My analysing is interrupted when Anya speaks.

"Sizing him up." She states, causing me to whip my head around to face her. "Smart." She remarks, turning and walking the other way.

I force my feet to move as I follow her. I shove down my fear as we ascend from the tunnel. We emerge from the ground and where I find myself confounds me.

It's the training cove. My eyebrows furrow as I take in the area. I know every inch of this place, down to the notches where I've thrown my knives into the trees.

"I take it you know of this place?" Anya says, once again breaking my thoughts.

I slowly nod. "I trained here with Miloch."

I see her nod slowly. "Yes, and, if this goes well, with me."

My lips part and my eyes widen. I begin to shake my head.

She holds up her hand. "I know of your answer and I will respect it." She states, causing my jaw to shut. "However, if you survive the battle and can put aside the prejudice that you have towards us, I will be happy to make you into a proper warrior."

My eyebrows raise. "Even if I kill dozens of your warriors?" I ask with a sharp tone in my voice.

Her eyes squint in amusement. "That's what I'm betting on." She says, reaching into her sheath and pulling out a sword. My sword.
