When they get back to Palette's parents' home. In the presence of his parents, he immediately was struck by the lack of Ink's soul, he had been locked with him since childhood so it was natural, but then and there his new senses hit him so hard, that he would have collapsed if Goth hadn't caught him.

Palette's parents were also watching confused and worried as from one moment to the next their cheerful child almost collapses.

Error/Goth recognizes the problem and uses his magic to stabilize it. Nightmare/Palette breathes a sigh, for the taste of death and destruction. He really needs to figure something out, before he becomes addicted to Siren's magic.

[Palette smiled in the original picture]

Dream watched the two teen interact in shock, recognizing something in it. Dream shook his head because they were still so young. He was at last older than 500 when he got together with Ink. Although those were different circumstances and Dream knew that it wasn't that strange for them to have a romantic interest as teenagers. Dream knew that all love is different. But what they had between them was different from the childlike love that Dream could recognize for other kids, as an emotional guardian.

Love was considered as a neutral feeling and was not his specialty. He even felt that something connected them, as if they were soul mates... "Not yet" he shook his head at the thought. "But they could easily become..." Dream realized. The information somehow unsettled him. He felt that Palette was growing up too soon... He and Ink loved each other, they loved each other sincerely, deeply and Dream couldn't ask for a better partner! But there was no such bond between them! Dream didn't know what to do with the information, but he knew it wouldn't be a good idea to tell anyone. He had to let the two teenagers figure out on their own and tell them... So, he walked over to his child with a gentle worried smile.

– Thank you Goth, we'll take it from here! – Dream kindly sent him away. Goth looks seriously into Dream eyes, who was dressed as a vampire.
