The outfit on my body was slim-fitted, but actually somewhat comfortable. It felt appropriate for the party. I didn't want to be overdressed, but I had this strange feeling that I wanted to look good tonight.

I got in my shiny car and drove myself to the address that Ethan had sent out to everyone. Since the day I met him, I still wondered how he got mine or any of my friends' numbers in the first place.

As soon as I walked through the doors, the yelling and loud music was immediately heard. The house smelled of alcohol too. It seemed as if it would be like any typical high school party.

I looked around, assuming that my friends weren't here yet since they said they would meet me at the front of the house. Devi tended to be late to a lot of events.

There was a lot of people here. I stood off to the side awkwardly, waiting to at least see someone that I was comfortable talking to. I regretted it immediately, but didn't have much of a chance for it to soak in.

I got shivers when someone's arm went around me. Ethan peered over at me, smirking at my reaction.

"Hey."

"Uh, hi?"

"Enjoying the party?"

"I just got here, actually."

"Oh, well you've got to have some fun, don't you?"

I saw Eleanor walk through the door, which gave me the perfect excuse to slip out of Ethan's arms. His arm was left hanging as I rushed over to Eleanor. My flushing was showing way too much for my liking.

"Did Ethan just-"

"Don't worry about it," I said as I laughed nervously.

"Let's go somewhere else," I suggested. Eleanor followed me to another room that almost no one else was in. We waited for Fab and Devi to arrive.

We talked for a while, and even drank a bit until Eleanor told me she'll be right back since Devi and Fab were here.

"Do you want me to go with you?"

"Don't worry, I've got it. And I need to show Devi something."

The whole situation seemed off to me. Why would she want to greet our best friends without me? I wondered what Eleanor was going to show Devi and if Fabiola was aloud to see it.

"Alright."

I stood alone, my back against the wall. This was the first time the party sounded quiet, even with the loud music in the background.

That was interrupted rather quickly. Ethan slipped into the empty room. "What are you doing?"

"Just waiting for my friends," I said, shifting nervously.

Ethan put his arm above me on the wall.

"Well, do you mind if I wait with you?"

"I..."

Ethan's other arm went onto the wall, leaving me trapped between him and the wall. That smirk of his was addicting.

"Wanna make out?" he asked innocently.

My eyes widened. Ethan was so straightforward, and it shocked me. No one had ever just suddenly asked me that out of nowhere. He didn't bother to wait for my answer.

Ethan kissed me, but I broke apart for a second.

"I can't, Ethan."

"Yes you can."

He kissed me again, but this time I didn't fight it. I kissed him back, and soon enough we were making out.

I couldn't help but enjoy it. He might have been the most attractive guy I had ever laid eyes on. At first, I was trying to stay loyal to Devi. But now, I just couldn't. His charm was irresistible, especially in an environment like this.

"You look hot," he muttered in between kisses.

"y/n?!" voice yelled.

Both of us were startled and Ethan broke apart first. His hands were still above me, locking me in place.

"Devi, I can explain!"

"Can you?"

It turned out that the other people at the party weren't as far away as I thought they were. Everyone was listening and staring at Devi, Ethan, and I.

"Yeah, I can!" I shouted back.

"Why do you have to be so boy crazy?" Devi stammered.

She was one to speak. I gently moved Ethan's arm and walked over to Devi. I was used to being the one who got pushed around, but even if Devi was my friend, I wouldn't let her take this out on me this time.

I've never had a good relationship. Devi on the other hand, has had many experiences with guys. They usually ended with one or both of their hearts getting broken.

"Devi, did we forget when you dated two guys at once?"

Someone else's head poked up out of the crowd when she said that. Ben had entered "the fight", and stood beside Devi.

"I thought you weren't speaking to me," Devi said with a slight smile.

"I'm really not. But I couldn't help but overhear you, y/n." Ben was still looking at Devi while speaking to me.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry, but it's true! Devi doesn't have the right to call anyone else boy crazy."

Ben looked at Devi and then back at me.

"Devi and I may not be dating anymore, but she's still my friend."

Ben was getting dangerously close to my face, which seemed to tick Ethan off. He came to my side, and stared at Ben with hatred.

I couldn't own fine what Ethan would do next.
