Chapter 29

Brynnley:

Carter and I cuddled together for a little bit until I told him that we should head back downstairs and help his mom with dinner.

I groaned and held me tighter

"Carter, come on," I say, trying to force myself out of his grip

"Noo" he wines

"Carter, if we dont leave right now, I won't let you kiss me the whole trip," I say, trying to scare him

"You wouldn't," he says while sitting uo

"Watch me," I say, and that got him to let go and rush to the door and open it for me

I walk towards the door "That's what I thought."

We made our way downstairs and entered the kitchen

"Can I help you with anything, Tracy?' I ask her

"No, No, please, you are our guest. Relax," she says

"I insist, at least let me help set up the table," I tell her

She sighs "Fine, but Carter, you better help her," she says to him in her motherly tone.

Carter and I set the table. When we finish, we hear the front door open, and the house fills with giggles.

"Grandma," I hear a cute little voice scream

I see a cute will girl with pigtails enter the room but stop in her tracks when she sees Carter

"Uncle Cartey!" She screams and runs into his arms

My heart is melting at this adorable sight.

"Oh, Addie, I missed you so much," Carter says while picking her up and spins her in a circle as she giggles.

"I missed you more than more," Addie says, and Carter laughs while putting her down, and she runs to her grandma

I see a man holding another little girl, and a woman enters the room.

"What's up, brother"! The guy says, and I am assuming that is his brother John and his wife Lucy.

"Sup big bro, Hey Lucy," Carter says, giving Lucy a hug and grabbing that little munchkin from his brother's arms, who must be Lauren

"Hi, baby girl," Carter says in his baby voice

God, seeing him with kids is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I wonder if he wants kids in the future. I can see him being an amazing dad.

"Hi, Uwncke Carer," she says in her cute little voice He laughs and looks towards his brother and his wife

"I want you guys to meet someone," Carter says as he looks toward me and I make my way toward him

"This is my girlfriend, Brynnley. Brynn, this is my brother John, his wife Lucy, and their kids," Carter says

"Hi, it's nice to meet you," I say

I see Lucy walking towards me

"Hi! It's so nice to meet you, Ive heard so much about you!" She says as she gives me a hug

"I hope it's good," I say, not sure what has been told

"Only how you stole Carter's heart, and you are the best," she says with a smile, and I return ine back

"Oh good," I say while pretending to wipe sweat off my forehead as she laughs

"So you're the girl who changed my brother," John says, walking up to me and his wife and wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I guess so," I say with a giggle

I look and see that Carter left the kitchen and is now playing with his nieces in the living room, and I am left alone with his brother and sister-in-law

"All I have to say is thank you. You change him for the good. He had never brought a girl home before. Let alone ever talk about one. You turned him into a total simp." His brother says to me

Is he serious

"Yeah, whenever we call him, all he talks about is you and how he is obsessed with you. I'm glad he has you. I now have a girlfriend to gossip to about all the family drama," Lucy says as I laugh

"Well, I'm happy to be here. I have to say I'm pretty obsessed with him, too," I say while blushing

Before we could continue talking, I heard Carter calling out my name and telling me to come here.

I excuse myself and make my way over to him. "Okay, girls, I want you to meet someone really special to me" Carter says to his nieces.

I kneel down next to him

"This is my girlfriend, Brynnley. Brynn, this is Addie and Lauren," Carter says

"Hi, girls," I say with a bright smile

I can tell they are a little nervous as they fall into Carter's chest

I look at him and giggle.

I see the oldest Addie holding a Elsa doll from Frozen.

"Is Elsa your favorite princess?" I ask her, trying to get her to talk

She nods shyly.

"That is so cool. Did you know that she is my favorite, too?" I tell her in an excited tone

Her eyes widen. "really!" She says

"Really, that is my favorite Disney movie," I told her, and that got her to open up

"Mine too!" She tells me, and we start talking about all things Disney.

The little one Lauren joins in the conversation, too.

Carter looks like he is lost and has no clue what we are talking about.

I giggle and continue talking with the girls

Some time passed, and I heard Tracy say dinner was ready. The girls run into the kitchen, and I start to get up and walk to the kitchen, but Carter stops me.

He looks at me with adoration

"You were amazing with them," he says as he places a kiss on my lips

"I love kids, and those kids just made a spot in my heart," I say

"I now know why you spoil them so much," I say, and he laughs

"They are pretty amazing. Let's go and eat." He says, guiding me into the kitchen

I think I'm falling in love with him.
