Chapter 34

Brynnley:

After my amazing night with Carter, we ended up going for round 3 and then rounds 4 and 5 and 6.

Let's just say I wasn't able to leave his bed the next day. I was so sore I didn't think it was possible to be sore in these places.

Today is Friday, and it's the first day I am going back to work since the incident with Mr. Jones, and I'm beyond nervous.

I had Carter go to my dorm and pick up my work clothes since I physically couldn't get out of bed.

Carter felt bad for my troubles, but let's be honest; he didn't feel bad at all.

As I got ready, Carter watched me like a hawk, making sure I was okay.

He doesn't want me to go back to the country club after what happened because he's scared another member could be worse than his dad.

I tried to reassure him that his dad was the worst there could be at the club. The other members are respectful. Sure, there are some who think they are better than everyone because they have money, but I could deal with that.

Once I was ready, Carter told me that he would bring me to the club and pick me up later.

We arrived at the club after Carter stopped to get me a coffee.

"You better text me every hour to check in with me," He says

"I will, please relax I will be fine," I say

He sighs, and I lean in to give him a kiss

"I love you," I say

He smiles, and I can see him start to relax

"I love you more," he says, and I get out of the door and walk inside.

I get to the service room, and I see Sarah He runs up to me and gives me a big hug

"Oh, Brynn, I heard what happened are you okay," she says

I didn't want this to happen. I didn't want people to approach me, feel bad for me, and ask if I was okay.

I appreciate they care about me, but this is not something I want to think about anymore

"Yeah, I'm all good, but I really dont want to keep talking about it," I say, trying to end the conversation

"I completely understand I just wanted to make sure you are alright," she says, and I nod

"By the way, Dan came up to me earlier and said he wants to see you in his office," she says

Oh boy.

"Okay, thanks, Sarah," I say as I make my way to the office.

I approach the door and knock on it

Dan looks up and sees me

"Brynn, please come in. Take a seat," He says as he sits up in his seat

I make my way over to the chair across from his desk, and I sit down

"Brynn, I just want to apologize once again. We never wanted that to happen to one of our employees. Especially you. You are our main girl." He says

"It's okay," I say, wanting to get this over with

"I didn't call you in here to talk to you about that, though," Dan says, and I nod

"The reason I called you in here was that I wanted to bring up new procedures with you that we will be doing for now on. One is no one close alone. That should have been a rule from the beginning, but this never has happened before, so we thought nothing of it." he says

"Next being we will try to try everyone on the bar, at least just the basics, because I made you run the bar with no experience and that was very stupid of me to do and I am extremely sorry I put you in that position' he says, and I nod once again "Lastly we are going to put two servers on the floor at all time so no one is left alone in an uncomfortable situation" he says

Those are good rules that should have been the rules since the beginning

"I appreciate those changes, and I am glad they are set now" I say

"One more thing before you leave" he says, and I look at him

"I would like to give you a raise, we have been waiting to give you one for a while now since you are such a hard worker" he says

I am stunned. I definitely wasn't expecting the conversation to turn into me getting a raise.

"Wow, thank you, Dan. I appreciate it." I say with a smile

"Of course. You can head out now, Thank you for your time Brynn, and once again I'm sorry" he says while I nod and head out the door.

Wow, I have never gotten a raise before.

My shift went by very quickly and I am grateful for that.

I head outside and see Carter's car

I walk to his car and open the door

Carter looks up from his phone and smiles at me

"Hey baby" he says

"Hey" I say and kiss him

"You will never believe what happened today" I say and he looks nervous

I explain my conversation with Dan about the rules and how he feels bad that the situation happened. I then told him that they gave me a raise with a huge smile on my face.

"Oh my god that's amazing babe," he says looking relieved I had a good day

"Yeah I definitely wasn't expecting it," I say and he drives out of the parking lot and heads back to his place.
