Oiwa/Yotsuya Kaidan

This is a Japanese urban legend.This legend is very popular in Japan.This is about a married poor man who wanted to marry a wealthy woman.

A beautiful young woman named Oiwa fell in love with a man that didn't have much money.Not caring about  a financial situation,the two married and soon were expecting a new family member.While they were poor,the wife was happy.The same could not be said for the husband.He grew bitter from his lack of money and resented her happiness,turning to another woman for comfort.He began an affair with a wealthy woman.Not long into the relationship,the wealthy woman fell in love with the poor married man.The mistress's father felt shame for her daughter dating a married man.So he said to the the man that if you were not married,my daughter could marry to you.Wanting the money the man created an evil plan to rid himself of his first pregnant wife.The next night they sat at the dinner table together.Then he took a spoon of poison and said "It's medicine to make you stronger."She was a little hesitate but poor Oiwa was so trusting his husband that she took the spoon and drank the poison.At first,nothing happened but then her baby died and her hair began to fall out into clumps.Her eyes drooped and began to fill with blood.She fell into a coma which really pissed the man because he wanted her to die.Days later,she woke up almost forgotten what had happened but then she went to the bathroom and saw what happened.She had lost her beauty and her baby.The man tried to keep his concerned husband act.The man said "Let's go on a walk to your favorite place.So they walked to the edge of a cliff,,overlooking the entire town.It was a beautiful view and while Oiwa was trying to take it all in with her blood filled eyes,he pushed her over the edge.The husband arranged an elaborate funeral for Oiwa to throw everybody off his scent but now that she was out of the picture,he began to plan his wedding with his new bride.He thought to himself "Now I'll be rich again and everything will be perfect."He began to see Oiwa distorted face everywhere.She appeared in a lantern so he shattered it.She appeared in a mirror,he shattered that too.He wouldn't let Oiwa destroy his new life with his new bride.On the day of his wedding,Oiwa didn't appeared.The ceremony went perfectly.He turned to his new bride but it was not her,it was Oiwa.He drew his sword and everyone stared in horror as the head of his new bride rolled down.He couldn't believed what he had done .He ran outside to the cliff and started crying.The wedding attendants ran to him after him just in time to see a woman push him over the edge
