Shuichi Breaks

Shuichi's pov

I left my room after i got dressed from my shower to catch up with Kokichi... problem is I couldn't find im anywhere... but then there was i place i forgot to check... and that was the bottom floor where the library and game room are. As i walked down the stairs from the the 2nd floor where i was at i saw Kaito as i approached up from the basement level. He was covered in blood from the front side. Did he have another coughing fit? I wasn't sure but Kaito would never kill anyone would he? I approached Kaito and he saw me.

"Kaito you okay? What happened?" I asked

"Oh Shuichi hey... im fine i just had another coughing fit is all... ill be fine" he said

"O-okay as long as your fine" i said

"Yeah..." he said

"Anyways do you know or seen Kokichi anywhere?" I asked

"No I haven't" he said with a straight face

"Okay well thanks anyways Kaito" I replied

"Yeah no problem" he said

I continued to go down the stairs as Kaito walked over to the dormitory. I then was at the start of the hallway on the basement floor. I walked towards the library door just to check and see if he was in there. But then I realized I didn't check his lab... I hesitated for a second and thought.. he would most likely be in his lab than the library. I turn around and began walking to his lab. Once i got there i looked in and no one was there....where could he be? I might as well check the library then who knows if hes in there. I then headed back to the library and I stopped in-front of the door. I reach out and turn the door knob.. it was dark inside and it was hard to see much but the small amount light of the hall way just lit the library enough for mr to discover... blood?? Could Kaito have been in here?! I hope so but then who knows I tried to turn on the lights of the library.. once i did.... i was met with a horrific sight.... Kokichi was dead and his body just dangling there with the knives that held him up... I couldn't help but fall to my knees... i started crying and screaming because of the emotional pain i was feeling.... then the announcements come on

"A body has been discovered please head to the library" Monokuma cheered

After a few seconds everyone came down to library.. which gave me time to think.... the person i saw coming from the basement floor was Kaito and i bet everyone else was in the dining hall or in there rooms but i cant just assume... i need more evidence... i will make the person who killed him pay for this...

"Hey we heard the announcement what is going o-" Kiibo said mid sentence

"Oh no this is bad...." Kiibo said

Maki came up to me and comforted me trying to get me to calm down but my tears wouldn't stop

"I didn't think Kokichi would be next" Himiko said

"Well it was bound to happen sooner or later" Tsumugi said

"I feel bad for Kokichi even though hes a liar" Kaito said

"The point was not to kill anyone i dont blame Shuichi for being like this..." Maki said

"N-nyeh i also feel bad for him Kokichi and Shuichi were lovers and someone just took away his happiness... I would be sad too, in fact i know how that feels because i lost Tenko" Himiko said

"I don't even get how love works but back when Kaede was alive we where all sadden when she was executed... i feel his pain...in fact i think hes had to deal with this multiple times... but this certainly is a low blow for Shuichi" Kiibo said

"Even thought Kokichi was a little crazy he still had some good sides i think.... but you're right if i lost my lover i too would be sadden." Tsumugi said

"Well we have to figure out this case and who killed him and what was the cause and time so we can crack this case and catch our culprit" Kaito said

"Your right Kaito, Shuichi come on let's figure out this case so you can at least rest easy after this" Maki said pulling me to my feet

I managed to weakly stand up and and face everyone. I wipe my eyes and look at them seriously as possible

"Now everyone i need people to tell me where they were and who has an alibi" i said

"Well me and Maki where in the dining hall having some lunch and then later Kaito walked in with some blood on his shirt but he told us he had another coughing fit and that he would be fine but me and Maki where in the dining hall the entire time" Himiko explained

"Me and Tsumugi where out side walking around just to kill some time but we hung out the entire time so it couldn't have been us" Kiibo said

"I did see Kokichi ask Kaito to come with him before I entered the dining hall and Kaito went off with him so Kaito doesn't have an alibi but he didn't seem to carry a weapon so it's possible he could have killed him or not" Maki said

I thought so Kaito just might be our culprit but why would he do this? Was he jealous? Who knows... I then search around the library and examined the trap.. looks like the knives came down at a fast speed. I pulled out my Monopad to get more info. The victim was killed with multiple stab wounds across the body. 7 to be exact and the victim lost a significant amount of blood. Time of death is unknown..why is it unknown? This is really interesting then....I continued to walk around looking but all that was there was the trap and thats about it. So i had everyone follow me up to the kitchen where the knives came from... all of them where gone..

"Did anyone see who took all the knives?" I asked

"I was the first one here but when i ent into the kitchen the knives where all gone" Himiko said

"Then the culprit must have waited until no one was there" i said

I kept thinking who could have grabbed them... it couldn't have been Kaito if he was with Maki the whole time and then spilt off with Kokichi later... Maki the interrupted my thoughts.

"Shuichi i did forget to mention something..." She said

"What is it Maki?" I said

"Kokichi came by Kaito's room to talk to him of course i was asked to leave because Kokichi wanted to talk privately about something but I didn't hear or even know what it was about" she said

"Okay thanks that helps out a lot" i said

I looked over at Kaito and he looked a little nervous for some reason I didn't understand why but every time i look at him he gets nervous.... maybe he isn't telling us something or he is the culprit.. but we will find out soon enough. Suddenly the announcements came on again

"Alrighty chumps its time for the battle against the spotless and the blackened. Everyone gather at the shrine of judgement" Monokuma said as the monitor shuts off.

We all start walking out to the courtyard and headed towards the shrine of judgement.then when we all where there the statue moved and submerged i to the water with a path leading us to the elevator. We all walked in and the door closed behind us as we started to descend. It was quite and all I could hear was the elevator move. As we headed down I realize what if the blood on Kaito was actually Kokichi's blood... its best if i have that as a reference for an upcoming argument... I continued to think about it. Then the elevator stopped and the doors opened.... this is going to be one hell of a fight for our lives lets just hope we get it right this time...
