Some day, I promise you...(A Kokichi Oma and Shuichi Saihara story)

Saturday night

Kokichi's pov

We had a long day of just being out all day. Shuichi had to swing by his office for some paperwork and something else he refused to tell me. I kept bugging him multiple times but he refused to tell me. We then decided to swing by my place to drop off Shuichi's stuff. We then headed out fairly quickly. Shuichi had the car so he was just taking me some where. We drove for about 30 minutes and i was starting to get bored.

"Shuichi I'm bored!" I said

"Just wait a little longer" he said

"Are we even close to where you're taking me?" I whined

"Kokichi how old are you?" Shuichi said annoyed

"Umm... almost 22 why?" I said

"Your such a child sometimes" he said

"What is that supposed to mean?" I sighed

"It mean be mature" he said

"Ugh... whatever i was just asking Shuichi" i said

He said nothing and parked the car. He looked at me slightly annoyed by the fact i asked a lot of questions like a child. I looked back at him with a innocent look. He then looked away.

"I dont get how your older than me" he said

"Im sorry if I annoyed you Shuichi...." i said

"Its fine we are here anyways" he said getting out the car

I followed in after him and looked around. Then I realize it was a bar. Ive only been to one a few times with D.I.C.E but only on occasions ever since we where legal to drink.

"Why are we at the bar?" I asked

"Just because... i wanted to have a few drinks with you is all." He said

"Have you ever drank alcohol in your life?" I asked

"No... I waited a while and i was also busy so I haven't really ever done it" he replied

"Well to be completely honest ever since me and my subordinates turned 20 about a year ago we have a few drinks every weekend." I said

"Oh so you basically know your limit then" he said

"Yep thats right" i said

"Okay then well... if I get too drunk can you drive me back to your place?" He said

"Why my place... dont you wanna go back home?" I said

"No not really but i wanna stay with you" he said

"Okay fine with me" i said

We both sat down at the long strip of seats and well the long ass table shit that is in there. The bar tender came by and thought i was a child. He asked me to leave until I showed him my I.D. Not the first time people thinking I'm a child. I still stayed 5'1 ever since highschool which sucks. Shuichi looked over at me and laughed as the bartender fought with me about my age. Since Shuichi didn't know much about drinks I ordered for him. It was really basic it wasn't anything too special. I literally drank all mine in one sitting. Shuichi just tasted and found it bitter.. I could tell by the face he made but he tasted it again and was okay with it.

"You like it?" I asked

"Not at first but i like it now" he said smiling at me

"Nishishi~ its not something you get used to right from the start but at least you like it" i said

"even so its still good" he said

We sat for about a few minutes and i look over to see Kaito and Maki way down on the other side of the bar with Kiibo. They were all drinking and was watching them for a bit.

"Shuichi....Kaito, Maki, and Kiibo  are here" i said

"Oh you wanna head over there? Or no?" He said

"Sure.... I haven't seen then all in a while so why not?" I said smiling

We walked over to them as i fixed my hat so the  brim of it wasn't in my vision. Its a good thing I didn't bring my cape. I most likely would have gotten kicked out for being shady. As soon as we got closer Kaito noticed Shuichi right way. Since i was behind Shuichi he didn't see me since i was still short. They all greeted Shuichi and looked in his direction.

"Hey Shuichi your blocking my view since im behind you" i spoke

"Who is behind you Shuichi?" Kaito said

"Oh well here ill show you" Shuichi moves off to my side

"Hello, Kaito, Maki, and you too Kiibo" i said taking my hat off and putting it across my chest

"Well no fucking way..." Kaito said smiling

"I thought you died" Kiibo said

"Nah it was all a lie guys... I did it to save you all" i stated

"Yeah in the process you made Shuichi lose it after we escaped...." Maki said

I got a sickening feeling when she said that. Did i really mess up Shuichi? If so why would he hide that from me? Should i really be worried about this if he didn't tell me?

"Guys im fine trust me... Kokichi had nothing to do with it at all... it was all me anyways" Shuichi said

"The cops did tackle you down because you had a weird episode... we all saw" Kaito said

"You sure you got over it or are you hiding something Shuichi?" Maki stared at him

"Yes i swear Maki... why would i lie if Kokichi can tell that i am" he said

"Kokichi... tell us if he's lying" she said to me

I didn't respond and was lost in my own thoughts and self doubt.... Damn it im reverting back to how i was back before that stupid game started. I don't understand why but i just feel like i am... i dont know how to feel. I love Shuichi but i left him alone for so long and lost track of him when i recovered from the fake suicide. I suddenly fell to the floor staring at the ground. Shuichi tried to get my attention but I didn't respond. If i really did mess up Shuichi mentally i dont think i can live with that. Kaito was right I shouldn't have done that idea in the first place. Maki waved her hand in my face to get me back to reality but she got frustrated and slapped me really hard. I snapped back an just put a hand on my face and didn't complain from what she just did.

"Kokichi... are you okay?" Maki and Shuichi asked.

"...huh? Y-yeah sure." I said

"Okay... anyways answer my question Kokichi." Maki said

"What was it again?" I asked

"Is Shuichi lying about being fine?" She said

"Uh.... i dont think so?" I said unsure

"Kokichi... your not okay... here lets go outside and talk.." Kaito said getting up and taking me outside.

I didn't have time to refuse him but he grabbed me by the arm and took me out side. We sat on a bench out side and Kaito looked at me. All i did was look away.

"Kokichi tell me what is going on?" He said

"No.." i said

"I can tell something is wrong please tell me okay... you helped us now let me help you..." he said

I sighed and looked at him

"Okay... ill tell you." I said
