Forgotten Legacy

Shuichi's pov

After Kaito and Maki left I frantically grabbed my bag and dumped everything out and searched for Kokichi's will... i then found it and dumped the contents of the letter out onto my desk. The card along with the letter and folded piece of paper fell out. The folded paper i was supposed to look at 6 years ago i picked up and unfolded it carefully. The message on the paper said in bolded caps written in red crayon

'Stupid that was just a lie'

Wait but what does that mean? A lie? I sat and thought for a bit. I then grabbed the phone and called Kaito. It rung for a while

"Come on pick up!" I said in frustration

"Hello Luminary of the stars speaking" Kaito said

"Kaito i need details on the people you saw on the roof" i said

"Well... there was a total of 10 people on the roof" he said thinking out loud

"10 you say?" I repeated

"Yeah, they where all wearing what looks like white clothes and what seemed to be the one that seemed to be the leader was wearing a black cape but it was hard to see... they all where wearing masks as well..." he described

I sighed in relief and happiness "thank you Kaito that was very helpful"

"Yeah no problem Shuichi" he said

"Anyways that was all thanks again for the help" i said

"Well if that's everything then ill talk to you later" he said

"Alright bye Kaito" i said

"Bye" he said

I clicked the button to hang up and I couldn't help but smile at the thought that Kokichi could me alive. I then look over that the book case and pull out the full report of the killing game. The only body that wasn't found in the reports after the school was searched for the body's of the other students for a proper funeral was Kokichi's body. Its its likely he could be alive but its not for certain. I then put the report back in the book case and picked up all the things from the floor that i dumped out of my bag and organized everything back into the my bag and looked on my desk for a pen since i needed to put one in my bag... i always lose them some how. I put Kokichi's will back in the the envelope and back in my bag. It was so dark in my office I decided to open the blinds to shed some light into the room. But suddenly i see some one come out of no where from above and drop down to the ground. They where clothed in white but this person was draped in a black cape with a slight purple color on the underside of it but what looked familiar was the checkered scarf. They were wearing a black hat and a clown mask. Could that be him? Suddenly a girl in dirty blonde pigtails fell from above and was holding a bat. She then handed the bat to him and the leader pointed at me and swung at the glass breaking the window. I stepped back and my foot hit the bottom edge of my desk and i fell. The leader jumped through the now broken window and pinned me down to the floor. I could see the color of his hair more clearly and it was a dark purple color. Then suddenly 8 other people showed up around the window. They all laughed including the leader. But that laugh from the leader confirmed my suspicion.

"Kokichi!" I said.

The leader continued to face me. Then he takes off the mask but it wasn't him... i even remember in a motive video that thats what he wore alone with his subordinates. No this leader had short purple hair and his eyes where a goldish yellow color. But what was weird was this person's hair was like Kokichi's but shorter. He then laughed again

"Oops did i fool you Shuichi?" He said.

"Huh?" I said

"Yeah i know Kokichi but im not him" he said

"Wait who are you?" I asked

"Im Kokichi's son he told me about a great Detective named Saihara." he said smiling

"How did he have a son if he died?" i said

"Oof you got me Nishishi~" he laughed

"So you are him or not?" I said

"Okay okay it me Shuichi" he said

"I thought you died!" I said

"No no.. why would i? Besides my subordinates where in on this because they helped me escape and i only had the knives pierce me where it wouldn't kill me." Kokichi explained

"But why did it take you six years for you to come I contacted with me?" I said

"Well it's because... i only recently found out where you were" he shrugged

"But why did you decide to do that!? I was so worried about you Kokichi" i said tearing up

"Because i wanted to get out and save you guys" he said "looks like it worked too"

"Yeah, But Kiibo sacrificed himself..." i said

"Nah hes alive i over heard your conversation with Kaito.... i also heard about Himiko." He said

"Yeah its a shame what happened to her..." i said

"Well anyways Shuichi how are you?" He said

"Good everything is good" i said

"Thats good to hear" he smiled

"Kokichi how did you find me anyways?" I asked

"Your in the paper..." he said with a straight face

"Oh right.." i said

"Well sorry Shuichi but i have to cut our visit short." He said bowing slightly

"Hey wait why now... i just got to see you again..." i said sadly

He comes up to me and kisses me passionately pulling me in. Then he pulls away and i blushed

"Dont worry Shuichi just meet me here tonight." He said handing me a folded piece of paper.

"O-okay" i said grabbing it

He steps back and rejoined his group as they one by one leave. Kokichi was the last to leave and he looks back at me

"I bid you adieu my darling sweet Shuichi~"  he says as he puts his mask back on and jumps out the window running away.

When he left I unfolded the paper and it had an address fairly close to where i live. I also realize another thing... who's gonna pay for the fucking window! I then got the idea to make him pay for it later today but it didn't really matter in the end.. especially if we ever plan on getting together.. i will say... this was honestly one hell of a surprise for me
