Chapter 6 - Revenge

7 Months Earlier

"Hey Takahashi, since you're the new kid, that means you need to pay tribute to your Senpai's~" (Male Classmate 1)

"Yeaaahhhhh c'mon man, gotta show your respect to those that were in this school before you." (Male Classmate 2)

Why should I give them money, I don't know who they are, and I know there isn't any sort of tribute that is needed just cause someone was your senpai. Which means these two are bullies, and are just trying to extort some cash outta me.

".....Extortion..." I spoke.

Their faces didn't really change much, but I could see in their eyes that they were upset that I called them out on the matter. I just moved here a week ago, so no one is going to feel like defending me, since no one really bothered to even speak to me on my first few days attending this place.

When I tried starting the conversation, guys would mostly ignore me. Then the girl's faces would just get red, and they would run away from me. I could only assume this was some form of bullying, and that they were all doing this because I was the new kid in school.

Maybe after some time passes perhaps all of this would calm down and I could be a normal high schooler. However, fate seemed to want me to continue being bullied, so these two guys that were standing in front of me with ugly smiles, and a dark look in their eyes, were trying to extort me for cash.

They probably assumed that since I haven't made a friend, in the one week that I have been here, that I would be an easy target to bully.

An hour later, I was in the Principal's office, being scolding for the "Harassment" I was causing for two of my classmates, whom have wished to "Remain Anonymous" so that they can avoid any further bullying.

I'm the new kid, so I believed that my word wouldn't go very far here compared to someone else who has been going to this school for a year or two.

Present Day

When I opened my eyes, I was staring at an unfamiliar ceiling...I guess this wasn't a dream after all. If this really is my second chance at life, then things will be different. If someone decides to bully me, then I will fight back until they understand that they shouldn't mess with me anymore.

I want a life of leisure, and happiness....If someone gets in the way of my happiness then they will suffer a fate worse than death. However, I have to make sure I don't just kill mindlessly, if someone is innocent then I am no better than the bad guys I want to put down.

Reaching my hand to the side, I found my sword. After taking everything into consideration, I kept its name short and simple. Its new name will be Noroi, which simply stands for "Curse" and it only seemed like the name rolled off the tongue.

I mean it IS supposed to be a cursed sword, so there isn't any reason why I can't use it's original name to form a better sounding name. Although, even with the name change, this is still a Cursed Demon Sword, I still need to remain cautious when drawing it.

I have yet to fully unsheathe it yet, the only time I saw the blade was back in the shop, when I was doing an initial check on the quality of the material. However, I have been nervous to draw the blade more than the few inches, I did before. What if the curse somehow finds a way to sidestep my Mental Resistance?

....Perhaps I am thinking about this too much...I will just deal with the issue when the time comes, that it arises. For now I need to get ready for my test at the Adventurers' Guild. After using water magic to quickly clean my body, I combine wind magic with fire magic to dry me off with a relaxing warm air...similar to a blowdryer.

After strapping Noroi onto my waist, I go to Sana's room to make sure she is ready for the test as well, and isn't over-sleeping.

When I entered her room, all I was greeted by was a girl with a small frame, sprawled over a bed. Her hair was a mess, but she seemed to be very relaxed, and comfortable. I battled myself with whether or not I should let her keep sleeping or wake her up.

After a couple minutes of deliberating I decided it would be appropriate to wake her up now, so we can avoid being late and having to reschedule our entrance test, for the Adventurers' Guild.

We were walking through the front doors of the Adventurers' Guild, a few minutes before they were going to reschedule our test. To be honest we could have been earlier, if Sana hadn't fallen asleep in the bath. After that happened I had to go inside to help her finish bathing. Then I used magic to dry her off.

When she finally woke up fully, she was curious as to why she was already clothed. When I explained to her the situation, she got rather flustered, then hurled insults at me as I was hauling her to the Adventurers' Guild.

She was still a little upset with me over the matter with me helping her bathe while she was still half-asleep, But I decided to ignore the matter for now, since I wasn't sure if the Guild Test would be rescheduled to another day, or another year.

After saying hello to the receptionist-san, we were told that the instructor was waiting for us in the testing facilities. "Please, Follow me this way." She smiled, but it didn't seem friendly....it felt like a business smile that people wore to keep up impressions in front of their clients.

Following Receptionist-san for a minute, we arrived in a large arena like building. This must be the training field, but at times like this, it is used for the testing facilities. I gotta say though, the building's design is amazingly impressive.

In fact it almost seems like a duplicate to the Roman Coliseum on Earth...only, a little bit smaller...Nah, no way right? It's just a coincidence....right?

Deciding to think about this subject at a later date, I looked around the training field trying to eye out who the instructor would be. Although I doubt there are many people in this world that can compete with my power. If someone CAN fight evenly with me, then they certainly couldn't be Human.

Sana's Magic, could very well kill me before I had time to stop her...She not only has magic power over me, but she also has the experience accompanied with a Millennia of being alive.

We stopped walking when we arrived in front of an angry looking muscular man, I couldn't tell if he was just angry at me for something, or if that was how his face naturally looked.

"Hey punk, I'm your tester! I'm also gonna beat you bloody so that you won't pass, as payback for hurting my younger brother's party member! Maybe you'll learn your fucking lesson!!"

I see, this man is the older brother of one of the delinquents who wanted my money as a 'Tribute' as well as wanting to take Sana to satisfy their carnal desires.....I guess it would be against the rules to kill him right? if so, then I will just have to cripple him.

As the thought passed through my mind, a sinister smile spread across my face as I looked him dead in the eye and declared, "So he is so weak that he had to get someone stronger to fight his own battles huh? Very well then...since you must be no better than him....I will just have to cripple you."
