Transferred to the other world of Auralel

Chapter 32 - Our Territory

I woke up on the ground in an alleyway. Clinging to me were two beautiful girls, and they were Sana and Noroi. One of them, I proposed to, but I still haven't presented her with a ring. I'm not sure how it works in Auralel, but I want to give her a ring that shows my affection for her.

For now, that'll have to wait, because there are some things we need to take care of. Today, at noon, we'll be getting picked up to go to our new territory, so we only have a little time to take care of a few errands before it happens.

After making sure Noroi was back in her sword form,and strapped to my waist,we exited the alleyway and made our way back to the magic artifice shop run by the elf, Corhn. We were showing up one day later than he told us, but I suppose this also means he got an extra day to finish Sana's new staff.

"Oh, you finally showed up huh? Not that I mind though, since it gave me some extra time to make sure everything was crafted correctly. Anyway, here you are." (Corhn)

He handed a staff to us, over the counter. When I examined the staff, I saw that it was almost completely black, and the catalyst at the top was a deep dark purple. The spot where the catalyst crystal was embedded,it was designed to make it look as if a dragon was keeping it in place. When my fingers ran along it, I could feel that the scales were used to cover the outside, which means the staff itself was shaped from the dragon's bone.

It was clearly a very high quality magic staff, and it started making me wonder how much this would cost without the discount that Corhn was giving us.

"Now, since it was made from high quality materials, I'll take some of the cost off, on top of your discount for being referenced by Gaer. So, in total, the expenses will be 5 gold coins." (Corhn)

Only 5 gold coins?! Although, for most people that in itself is a lot of money, and it scares me to wonder how much was taken off of the original price. However, since we had the money to pay for it,we handed over the 5 gold anyway. I didn't want to bother haggling him down a bit more since he's already cut down a lot of the price for us.

After we paid for the staff, Sana was excited to try it out, but I told her she had to wait a while since we're still busy with a few things before we have to leave. She was a little disappointed at hearing that, and pouted as we made our way to another alley and opened a gate to Gaer's blacksmith shop.

"Ah, you've arrived. Good timing, I just finished the fine tuning for your weapon and I'd love to see it work, so I made a few rounds for you for testing purposes, before it's converted to using magical energy." (Gaer)

He handed me the gun and some shells that look like they would fit perfectly inside the Chambers, and guides me to the area in the back of the shop where he set up some test dummy's.

Before loading the gun, I checked inside the barrel to see if he did the rifling properly, and when I was satisfied, I pointed the barrel down to the ground and popped out the chamber wheel and loaded my bullets. After it was loaded, I pointed the gun towards the test dummy's and pulled the trigger.

The bullet flew perfectly straight and pierced through the dummy's head. I then fired off the rest of the rounds into the other dummy's, aiming at each of their heads.

It seems Gaer did a good job in discovering a way to make gunpowder. Although, I'm sure it's not the gunpowder that I know from Earth. It probably uses some sort of magic stone that's been ground down into a powder substance. If I had to guess which type, then it'd have to be a magic fire stone, which is acquired from defeating monsters in hot locations, like deserts or around a volcano.

"So, how much will it cost, old man?" (Sora)

"Well, it's a new weapon that's never been made before, along with being crafted from the parts of a dragon...... let's say around 7 Gold?" (Gaer)
