During the day, I was given a tour of the village, and was told where shops are, where the fields are and what crops were being grown. Sana had been guided by the women and children of the village, and it seemed they enjoyed meeting her.

As I was guided by the guy who didn't like me, I was making mental notes of what things I want to change, and how to go about implementing those changes, quickly and efficiently.

After the tour was finished I made a comment about a facility, or lack thereof.

"So, I noticed you didn't show me anything that could be constituted as a training grounds. How are you taught to wield a weapon then? Is it passed down from the parents?" (Sora)

"That's right, got a problem with that?" (Tour guy)

"Not really, I'm self taught when it comes to combat and magic. However, I find it horribly inefficient that you do not designate a proper area for which you can practice your skills in combat." (Sora)

"Well...I want to be mad at you for that, but I can't argue with you on that point. We do need a space where we can practice, but without walls to protect us from monsters, we don't really have much time to set up anything like that." (Tour guy)

"Well, I hoped to get started on improving your crop situation first, but I guess having a good defensive wall will make everything else go quickly...Very well, I shall handle the walls but first, is there any good source of water nearby? Like a river or a lake?" (Sora)

"Huh? Well, the Grand River that splits through the continent isn't too far away, so we mainly use that when collecting our water." (Tour guy)

The Grand River huh? If I remember correctly, it's a large river that cuts straight through, and separates the beastman country from the Dwarven and Elven countries. It also leads from one ocean to the west, and cuts around to the other ocean in the east. Usually you'd think that since it's connected to the oceans it must be dangerous to drink the water. However, as long as the river flows good enough a certain way, then it should filter it out by the time it reaches this village, and become clean drinking water. Alright, our first step will be defensive walls and after that, I'll create a channel for the river to flow into the village and provide quicker and easier access to the water source.

Before I do so, I'll need to level up my earth magic the rest of the way. A defensive wall would take too long to build the normal way, and if I use my magic then I should be able to fortify it so it becomes stronger after completion. The question, however, is how tall do I make the walls? Maybe start with the height of the human capital city, Arendall? It's not as large as the one around Serali but it could be a good start for now.

"Alright, I've made a plan. Please collect the villagers and inform them that I'll be constructing a wall. Also tell them that I'll be adjusting the size of their farmland while I'm at it." (Sora)

"Wha?!" (Tour guy)

Before he has a chance to say anything, I march out of the village until I've felt that the distance was fair enough for me to raise a strong and sturdy wall. Now the question remains, how should I construct it? I obviously can't leave it looking like it's made of dirt. Pouring some skill points to max out my Earth Magic, I wait a few moments to allow the new information to fill my mind. As everyone would believe, Earth magic truly is the best use of a defensive form of magic. It's tough and sturdy, and difficult to get through depending on the mage you are fighting.

With the knowledge now in my mind, I crouch down and press my hand to the grass. In my head I imagine a large wall constructed from stone with gateways arching over the dirt paths leading into and out of the village. I picture the wall to be thicker and sturdier. I imagine it standing strong against attacks that are magical and physical, and finally I think of it holding its own against the storming weather, scorching heat, and gale force-like winds. With the image of the walls design solidified in my mind, I pour my magic into the ground beneath me.
