The Hospital Chapter 21

I look at Pen laying on the bed and tears fill my eyes all over again. I can't believe she did this for me. I can't believe she took the bullet for me.

"Are you all right?" Maries sister, Kandi, asks me. Now you might be  lost, but once Marie called her mom and let her know what happened she rushed to the hospital and brought Kandi. My mom also showed up and stayed for a little bit before she had to go back to work.

"Yeah I'm fine." Kandi smiles at me and shakes her head, her long blonde hair flying around her.

"Now your not. You want to know something someone once told me?"

"What?"

"Its okay to be sad. Its okay to be hurt. Its okay to take responsibility for your actions and its okay to need help. That whenever you feel down or alone, your not alone. Someone will always be there for you. I know you feel responsible for what happened and its not your fault. That girl was a phsyco bitch-"

"Kandi!" Marie cuts in giving her sister a glare since she cursed causing Kandi to roll her eyes

"-Anyways what I was trying to say before I was rudley interrupted is that this isn't your fault. Her mom doesn't blame you and neither does anyone else here. This wasn't your fault. Shes going to be okay, I promise you that." I smile at Kandi and give her a hug.

"Thanks hun. You are really wise for a fourteen year old."

She smiles at me and hugs me bacK. "I like to think so."

I laugh a little and shake my head.  I'm still shocked that the doctor let all of us in here.

"Where am I?" A voice crocks causing us all to look over at Pen.

"Ill go get the doctor!" Her mom says, happy tears falling down her face.  I instantly stand up and make my way to Pen and stand next to Jaylan an Jasmine who are smiling happily at Pen,  all of us thankful she woke up.

"You're at the hospital. Don't you remember you saved m y life," I say smiling at her through tears.

"Than you shouldn't be crying. I'm okay and all these people crying is making me depressed and shit," she says letting out a light laugh making us all smile and laugh a little.

"Thank you."

"Anytime. I'll just use this as a 'I'm sorry for being a complete and jealous bitch.'"

I again let out a light laugh and shake my head.

"I'm sorry too. Also now I'm in debt to you.  Anything you want, I'll do."

Her face goes serious. "Anything?"

"Yes,  anything."

"Okay,  have sex with a monkey."

My eyes go wide and my mouth falls open.

"What?!?!" Jace and Nara scream

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head?" Asks Jasmine.

Pen looks at us with a serious face for another second before bursting into laughter.

"You.... sho...shouldve....se...seen...your...faces!" She cracks up before wincing causing her to stop and wipe the tears from her eyes.

"Damn, it hurts like a bitch to laugh. I know something I won't be doing for a long time." She says just as the doctor enters and asks us to wait in the waiting room.

I'm playing with my necklace when I remember something.

"Hey Marie?"

"Yeah?"

"You know when we meant, you asked me to sign up for cheerleading but I told you I'm clumsy and you where about to say something but you stopped yourself."

"Oh, I knew than you where pregnant."

"What, how????"

"My mom owns that pharmacy,  that hole week I was filling in for  a sick employee. I'm guessing you didn't notice me since  I was stocking things, but I saw you pick up a three pregnancy tests and a day later come back and get another one.  I kind of put two and two together."

"Why didn't you say anything?" I ask forwarding my brows.

"Because that was none of my business." She says with a smile.

"Thanks."

She shrugs and smiles. "Anytime"
