(This is in the same universe as the one where James calls Francis dad!)

"Dad, where're we going?" John Valois asked softly, walking next to his father as he held his hand. The primary school teacher looked down at his son, holding his step son's hand in the other hand as they walked through the long corridors of the local hospital. The blonde little boy looked up at his father with wide eyes, having obviously inherited his mothers' distrust of hospitals.

"We're going to see Mary and your new brother." Francis smiled down at his son, feeling James tug upon the other hand after John gave his father a satisfied grin.

"Mama's okay, daddy?" James asked, his little voice wavering. He had always worried for Mary, after all. Especially with how violent Darnley got at times when he had drank too much, it was usually Mary he went after, since he could be slightly overbearing and wanted another baby. Fights ensued about it when he was drunk, and sometimes they ended in bruises and blood.

"Of course, bud." he drawled. "Your mama was always going to be okay, hmm? The baby just decided to come and make us a proper family."

James Matthias Edward Valois flushed and looked down at his blue trainers as the boys' former teacher continued to lead them into the maternity ward. The boys jumped up to cover their hands in the antiseptic gel, eagerly walking towards the reception desk, following Francis' long legs.

"Hey, Lis." Francis drawled. "Where's the missus?" he grinned, the love he had for his wife and his sons evident in his smile.

"Jack's been moved to room four, quieter for her and the baby." the receptionist -a dark skinned woman with purple lipstick and a purple uniform- smiled.

"Jack Jack?" James chirped, remembering Mary's code name that had been given to her since she knew basically everything there was to know about the medical field, like the saying 'jack of all trades'.

"Yeah, buddy. Jack Jack." Lissie smiled at the boy who she had grown fond of. "Your mama's over there." she pointed to the door furthest from them.

"Thanks, Lissie!" James beamed, practically dragging John and Francis over towards the room. He opened the door and bulleted in, a big smile on his little face. "Mama!" James cried out with delight, seeing his ravenette mother laying in the bed, wearing a dark red satin robe and cradling a small bundle in her arms, the TV playing something quietly in the background.

"James!" Mary smiled back, extending a hand out to the little family. "Oh, I missed you, buddy." she smiled at him, giving kisses after Francis picked up his stepson and let him crawl over to his mother. John gave Mary an Eskimo kiss, their special little greeting, before smiling down at the baby in his mothers' arms.

"Look, mama, he's opening his eyes." James gasped, a tiny hand going to stroke the baby's cheeks. The baby grizzled and opened his eyes, making his slightly elder half brother gasp and giggle after pulling away his small hand.

"He is." Mary smiled, sharing a quick kiss with her husband after he got onto the bed and secured John onto his lap.

"Look, Bella, he has my hair." John giggled, moving the cap from the baby's head, revealing blonde waves. "He looks like daddy!"

"He does, he has his hair," Mary agreed. "but he looks like James did when he was born." she stated.

"He does?" James asked, his eyes wide with delight.

"He does." she smiled.

"What's his name, mama?" James chirped.

"Yes, tell us!" John echoed.

"Should we tell them, love?" Mary asked, raising a brow at her husband.

"I suppose." he smirked, sighing. "Boys, your brothers' name is Toby." Francis revealed.

"Toby?" James repeated.

"You got it, dude." Francis answered his step son. "Toby Sebastian Zachary Valois."

"Love you, baby brother." James pressed a kiss to his brothers' head, smiling as blue eyes peaked open to look at him. John reached over to hold the newborn baby's hand.

Hope you liked the bit of fluff! It doesn't really meet my perfectionist standards, but sometimes the cute and fluffy scenes don't need A* writing! The cuteness will speak for itself, whilst the more thorough writing will be for longer scenes with more stuff in them!
