"I am fine."

"I'd believe you the day chairs walk Mystery." Belladonna said with a heavy sigh. "You should have come to me instead of going to sleep and you wouldn't be in this situation right now."

Being sick was something that I had predicted but not this much, chest pains and difficulty breathing with coughs and a fever that caused a bad headache.

"We don't know what was in the water so you'll stay in bed and heal while I search up something." She sighed. "I'll tell the queen to delay the last trial as the Highness wouldn't take it well to out her favorite person would she?"

"She sure wouldn't."

"Well drink the tea, eat the remedies and stay in bed or I'll bind you to it with your own plants."

"That was when I was a child."

"Doesn't matter you will be bound if you sneak out like you tend to do, so stay under the covers before I do something about it."

"I got it."

"Good, Nix will watch over you."

"What else would she do?"

"Eat a hole through Emersme's left shoe, always the left shoe."

"That's who she is despite her old age." I petted the cat sleeping by my head, head propped up against mine and my hair having been licked out of the way and sticking up, she just does what she wants huh?

"Well relax and get better as we can't push it back eternally, plus, you got to win."

"Does everyone know of this?"

"Of course, you aren't really hiding the relationship between you too but you tend to be bold so it isn't a surprise really."

"Go already Belladonna and do your stuff."

"You can order me around when you'll have a higher title than I do young lady."

"Never."

"Thought so."

"Pass me a book on your way out."

"No you need to relax."

I sighed as she left.

"She's a meany isn't she?" I scratched Nix's chin making her push her head away and push on my cheek with her paws. "Now that's mean Nix." I huffed softly but scoffed in amusement.

I glanced at my uniform and wished I was in that instead of the clothes I would sleep in,  it would mean I was doing something and not just lazing around.

I pushed myself on my elbows to grab the tea Belladonna left me and taking the remedies she left, no idea what it was, must be something new she made... Bet she'll make me work on it too since even tho I don't want it they were teaching me stuff to make me a head mage.

I downed the tea and laid back down.

At least I have time to think about stuff.

The dragon's words still intrigued me as it wasn't any day you got a prophecy thrown at you by the dragon guarding death.

The darkness must be whom is trying to kill Audrey since it also spoke of purple gaze and she is the only one with that.

But riding on silver back.... We don't have a silver horse in the castle yet but if I tell the queen I am sure she'll look for one.... Or maybe it will be the dragon queen and Audrey's fate since the dragon queen dose have fifty silver scales and has no offspring yet and I need to protect them until they can fight the evil force.

Or maybe this is all a metaphor and weirdly worded, it could be me fighting another shade with my silver sword and letting out purple flames somehow, those exist but only dragons can use them, the strongest flames ever, all consuming.

It could be anything as long as the colors correspond, I need some more time thinking but I have the time.

I am sure it will most likely be Audrey on dragon or horse back, that's the most plausible out of all the brainstormed ideas.

But if all this was true, a dark evil coming to us and me needing to keep her safe.

I can't afford to hide longer can I?

It is already taking its toll on my body to keep the magic held back, having burnt my hands from the inside more then once, I think if I do that once, twice more I'd lose my feelings in my hands and that wouldn't be useful.

I looked over as I heard a knock.... On my window?

"Excuse my English but what the fuck Audrey?" I asked while opening it.

"You use my window I use yours, equivalent exchange.... Now help me I jumped from the nearest tree branch without planning it through." I chuckled between coughs and sat up to grab her forearm and pull her through the square window.

"There." She got off me and on the ground, dusting her outfit off. "I can do what I do with my magic don't go trying to scale up a wall."

"You could do that."

"Because I was trained to know to do most things."

"Okay so I wanted to see you."

"We saw each other yesterday."

"I know but I already missed you." She took the chair that was usually Nix's personal chair and pulled it to the side of the bed. "And I heard Belladonna mention you were sick."

"Don't worry Belladonna will do her stuff to make me better soon." Of course she mentioned it around her.

"You better, what will I do without my mage?"

"Marry Emersme, he wouldn't lose." That made her laugh.

"If he wasn't bedding my brother I'd shrug and go with it knowing it would end up with us only being together for public image but with those whom we love behind the walls."

I coughed loudly as I choked on my spit I tried to swallow the surprise was so strong.

"Bedding your brother?!" And here I thought he was to scared to make a move.

"The walls aren't thin but if your room's window is open while his is too you hear things, which is partially why I came here in the first place."

"Well seems he grew a pair." I whispered. "At the first feast when we met he had asked me for help with getting to prince Eleric since he said I was already good with your family."

"So he too stalked Eleric like we kept each other under observation."

"He sure did, his goals being to get his prince to get interest in him and be the first to speak with the elm tree."

"You didn't tell him you already did that?"

"I don't give away my secrets everyday Audrey."

"Oh right only I realized it."

"I wonder why." I joked with a smile.

"Well because I am irresistible." She flipped her braided hair over her shoulder, still wearing the small braid I made with the bead even if the rest of let free or styled differently for certain days.

"You sure are Audrey you sure are."

Nix rubbed herself to her feet and she looked down, cooing softly as she picked her up.

"You never told me you had a cat! ah so soft!" I laughed which ended up in more coughing my lungs out but seeing Nix with a 'help me' face as Audrey hugged her was the best joke all day.

"Never asked."

"What's his name?"

"Her, and it is Nix, my old lady."

"Awe she's adorable."

I don't know how long she stuck around, this sickness knocking me out after a while but I guess sleep is the best remedy.
