'Truth, no matter how long it takes will always push through to the limelight'

NICK   POV

The blasting music from the speaker makes me want to strangle someone. To think I just struggle to sleep not up to two hours ago, after praying earnestly and tossing on the bed for sleep to visit me and here I am wide awake from a loud sound that makes my head ache terribly.

I grab the pillow and throw it over my head trying to block the loud sound in form of music but it didn't help to silent the music that echo out like noise from an angry old engine.

How on earth did Jackie end up with such a noisy flatmate? She always come up with something ridiculous every day for the pass three days I have been here.

Out of frustration I get out of bed, pick my pajamas shirt and throw it on my shoulder. I pick my phone from the nightstand and check the time. It was 6:30am, with deep sigh I drag myself out of the room as I begin to trace the source of the sound.

Jackie insists I move in with her for few days after she found out what had happened with Lauren and I. I hid the whole drama from her but Nora somehow rant it out to her when they met at the mall and I got myself a handful of scolding and yelling. According to her words, such vital incident is not something to hide from family which I didn't agree but I understand her worries anyways, I didn't want to keep bulging her with my marital problems. There is a need to work things out on my own.

She kick against my protest to return home and insisted that I spent three days with her so she can take care of me, even though I clearly made it obvious to her that my foot is completely back to normal which means I can walk freely without any aid but Jackie always been stubborn didn't buy any of my words to heart.

I stop at the living room entrance and lean on the wall that leads into the lobby, I watch Lola (Jackie's flatmate) in amusement as she struggle to do squat, she looks like she was about to pass out feces. I suppress a laugh but wince when the loud music wasn't doing anything helpful to my ears. How is she able to live through this loud sound?

I shake my head and strides to where the wall socket was and turn it off, everywhere fall into a relax and comfortable silent, more like a graveyard. I let out a relief sigh with my hands slightly lifted in the air.

Lola turn my way and glare at me with her hands resting on her waist, her breathing is on the high race.

"Turn it on" She order dryly "I am using that to exercise".

"No, thank you. Unlike someone, I value my ability to hear very much" I lean back on the wall and try to button my pajamas.

"The music wasn't in your head" she eye me evilly.

"Geez! Did you feel the vibration? The roof was almost coming down. It's just 6:30am and you want to wake the whole neighborhood"

"6:45am" She corrected glancing at the wall clock.

"Whatever"

She move to turn the socket to put it on but I step in the way quickly blocking her. She is about to fire back at me when Jackie walk in with a tired expression on her face.
