Why should I fall down to the earth only to melt and lose this crystalline form?

It tightens its grip on the cloud.

What's the point of fulfilling my purpose if no one's going to notice either way?

Its resolve flickers for an instant. With a resigned sigh, it let's go.

What the snowflake doesn't know is that the fate of two people rests solely on its descent to the town below. For these lost souls who have been kept apart, only the first snow of the season can reunite them.
