16. A Writer's Time Crunch

Me: So, there's a contest going on. I'm thinking about entering. 500 words max. We can handle that, right?

Brain: Let's do it.

Me: Great! So, I'm thinking we start with the murder.

Brain: That's good. I like it.

Me: Yes! Okay, then she realizes she killed the wrong person.

Brain: Liking it so far.

Me: And then, she ends up accidentally killing herself.

Brain: We'll see about the ending when we get there.

Me: That's a good plan. Let's start writing now.

Brain: Yes, let's. When's the deadline?

Me: *mumbles*

Brain: What?

Me: In 6 hours.

Brain: *sighs* Why do we always do this?

A/N: Writing is a very slow process for me (and I'm also a recovering procrastinator), so six hours pass in a blink of an eye. :(
