Part 45 - Not Everyone Gets Love

Laksh woke up and saw his brother awake. He saw manik's one hand was over laksh's  forehead while he was stairing particularly nowhere. It seemed like he was in some deep thought. It was quite visible that he didn't sleep the entire night.

Laksh - bhai?

Manik came out of his trance and looked at laksh.
He gave laksh a warm smile.

Manik - good morning!

Laksh - aap soe nahi?

Manik - haa woh neend nahi aa rahi thi. Woh sab chod aur jaldi se ready ho jaa, aarti kaa time hone waala hai.

Laksh returned a soft smile.

Manik - main tere kapde yahi le aata hoon.

And he left

Nyonika - manik!

Manik - jii maa

Nyonika - beta jaldi karo sirf tum aur laksh baaki ho

Manik - haa maa bas aa rahe hai

He quickly went in laksh's room to take his clothes but stopped seeing nandini dressing up. She was in beautiful mint green and pink traditional skirt and top and her hair were tied in a messy bun. She was trying to wear her heart shaped chain which manik had given her from his first salary. He saw her struggling with the chain so went near her with a straight face and took the chain. When their hands brushed nandini looked in the mirror and saw manik with blank face again. She left the chain letting manik do it.
Thats when manik looked in mirror and noticed the chain.

Manik - shweta ko dikhane ke liye pehan rahi ho?

Nandini - nahi... Infact mujhe toh usse sorry bhi bolna tha but subah se dikhi hi nahi. I realized ke i should have trust on you, jab aap mujhse pyaar karte ho toh it doesn't matter ke aur kaun aapke liye kya feel karta hai.

Manik didn't reply

Nandini - manik ek baat puchu?

Manik - (looking at the hook of the chain he was trying to tie) hmm..

Nandini - aap mujhse naraaz ho kya woh ragini or laksh ko leke?

Manik - (trying to change the topic)mujhe toh laga tumne yeh chain fek di hogi afterall uss din ke baad maine tumhe kabhi pehante hi nahi dekha so i thought u didn't like it.

Nandini - obviously not manik, yeh mere liye sabse special gift hai woh toh chain thodi si choti thi toh jab bhi soti thi gale mein fasi aati thi issliye badi karwaane di thi and aaj aagyi so ab pehan rahi hoon and aakhri saas....

Manik - (interrupting) faltu baate mat karo. Yeh aakhri saas and all nahi sunna mujhe.

Nandini - toh maine joh pucha uska jawaab de dijiye

Manik - ho gya
(He finally made her wear the chain)

He started leaving but she held his hand which made him look at her.

Nandini - manik woh dono alag hai aur hum dono alag hai. I know aap laksh se bohat pyaar karte hai aur main bhi laksh aur Ragini dono se utna hi pyaar karti hoon. Un dono ke bich jo hua galat tha but that doesn't mean ke usska impact humare rishte par bhi pade. Aap hi ne kaha tha ke woh dono mature hai aur apne decisions khud le sakte hai toh hum kyu unn dono ke bich padd rahe hai?

Manik - (sarcastically) mature! You think joh Ragini ne kiya woh mature tha?

Nandini - look i know joh Ragini ne kiya woh galat tha and usse laksh ko bohat takleef hui hai but woh unn dono ke bich ki baat hai and hum unke bich nahi aa sakte
