I stood on the balcony, Damien stood next to me as Brand flew down, joining us. I covered my face with my hands, the dust flying up at me as his wings flapped gently before tucking away behind his back.

I turned back around, watching the vampire kings go as they all turned to look up at me. Brand walked over pulling me close as I smiled down at them, my eyes flashing red quickly as they avoided my gaze, getting into their carriages and leaving.

Brand looked down at me as I looked up at him innocently, "I'm surprised they left so easily, normally I can't seem to get rid of them" he said as I stepped back brushing myself down. I had quickly changed into pale blue dress, the soft material brushing around my feet.

"Who knows, maybe the drama tonight was a bit too much for them, I'm glad I had the time to get aquatinted with them though, first impressions are always important" I said as Brand narrowed his eyes at me slightly before extending his arm,

"I banned Bethany from leaving the castle as soon as I noticed you had gone missing g, we had better get a move on or she will make me regret it." He grumbled as I laughed lightly,

Brand walked off as I followed him, but before I could exit the balcony Damien grabbed my arm pulling me close,

"For now, you have asserted your dominance on them, but they are like a disease. This is not the last you will see of the kings" he said as I smiled up at him, "We wont be seeing all of them again" I countered as he frowned and I turned back to look at the disappearing carriages,

"The West will need a new ruler tomorrow" I said absentmindedly as Damien's eyes widened slightly, I pulled my arm out of his grip as I looked up at him through my lashes,

"take this as a warning, if you ever betray me, I will kill you" I warned as I turned on my heel, my dress flowing delicately behind me.

Hyde and Bethany were sitting waiting for us to return and as soon as I walked in they quickly sprung to their feet and rushed towards me, I held up my hand stopping them as I gathered my dress and continued forwards,

"I'm fine guys, trust me I dealt with it, and before you start  no I don't want to talk about it. I am sick to death of being captured and I ruined my dress and ruined my evening. And to top it off I didn't even get drunk" I said calmly as I sat at the table.

"For now, all I need to do is apologise. I should have warned you all about the dress, I fear I may have pissed off the Kings, and considering the upcoming war, that is the last thing that we need" I said, avoiding Damien's burning hot gaze on me, I stood up at I looked around the table,

"We are strong, especially united, but we will need the support of the kings, I will be sure to send them my personal apology in the morning" I continued, lying through my teeth. "With that, get some rest. The serious shit starts tomorrow" I said as they all nodded, leaving the table.

As I walked away to go up the stairs, Hyde cut me off, leaning casually against the banister. "Send them my apologies?" He chuckled as I narrowed my eyes at him, he leant over whispering in my ear,

"You can lie to the rest of them Lillian, but you can't lie to me, my entire gift is based upon emotions. Good job with those dickheads anyway and good choice not telling Brand, now you have leverage. Finally thinking like a Queen, one who can lie very convincingly, even to her mate it seems."

Hyde pulled back as Brand folded his arms watching us, I lifted my head as I pushed past him grabbing a glass on the way, I turned back as he mockingly bowed and I watched him walk away, a small shiver of fear running down my spine,

I didnt know how long I could keep up with all these lies.

I felt Brand follow me as I walked into my room and quickly stepped out of my dress, not even caring if he was watching at this point.

For some reason my mood had switched on the way upstairs, and I realised I was sick to death of being captured, it was completely ridiculous at this point. Whilst it had led to me gaining the upper hand on the kings, it was just humiliating. I walked into the bathroom as I turned the shower on and stepped under the running water, my small cuts and bruises healing themselves as I washed.
