Damiano's POV

I felt awful for yelling at Victoria but she just didn't understand what I was going through.
My dreams revolved around Coraline, my everyday life revolved around her. I couldn't drink or let alone hang out with my friends without having to think of her.

I wonder if she thinks of me as much as I think of her.

Writing songs became harder and so did rehearsing with the band. Ethan and Thomas also missed Coraline but not even half as much as I did. I needed to find her as soon as possible and that was the only thing I knew for certain.

As I lay in bed, I heard a slight knock on my bedroom door.
"Come in" I said quietly and the door slowly opened. It was Victoria.
"Hey" she said and sat down on the edge of my queen size bed.
"Hey" I replied. I couldn't look her in the face knowing that I'd said some horrible things to her earlier.

"Umm...I came to apologize. I should've just given you the time to think" Victoria apologized and her expression softened.
"No, you don't need to apologize for anything. I should be the one apologizing to you. I shouldn't have yelled at you, I'm sorry. It's just...I need to find her. I can't do this anymore. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her" I explained and she nodded.
"I know, Damiano. And we're going to find her. But we both need to keep our cool and not freak out, okay? I know it's hard to lose one of your best friends and I know it's hard to not know if Cora's alive or not but fights are never a solution" Victoria responded.

I was surprised at how calm she was. That was something that had always fascinated me about her. Yes, she could get mad but she could never stay mad for longer than an hour or so. She would always come back to her senses and apologize, even if the fight wasn't her fault at all.

"So what do you recommend doing?" I said and she smirked.
"Well, I thought about where she could be. Then I found this" Victoria replied and handed me a leather bound notebook.
"Vic, we can't do this. We'd be invading her privacy" I told her and put the little journal down on my bedside table.
"Damiano, think about it logically. There's a good chance she wrote places she wanted to visit down in this journal. I don't think it's her current one but you never know" she justified and I thought about it for a second.

Maybe it wasn't a bad idea after all. Coraline always journaled and if she'd made a list with places she wanted to visit, or even just wrote down one place, that was already a good starting point. How else would we find her?

I took a deep breath.
"Okay, fine. But what are we gonna do if there are multiple places? We can't go to five different cities or even countries without certainty of her being there" I said but Victoria already seemed to have a solution for that as well.
"I thought that maybe we could just think about what would make the most sense. She can't be in Italy because we would find her too fast. She has to be somewhere else and then we'll go there and look for her, okay?" Victoria explained her plan and I nodded, still a bit confused about how this would work.

We spent the next hours looking through every single entry and searching for things like lists, mentions or anything that could gives us a hint to her current location.
"There!" Victoria suddenly shouted and pointed at the journal.
"Paris? I mean...yea we know she talked about it but-" I couldn't even finish my sentence because Victoria was so quick with interrupting me.
"Yes but I also told you my friend Iris might have seen her. I could call her. If Coraline's really in Paris then we have to go there. It's probably our only way of getting her back home" she told me .

Her plan gave me hope for the first time in a long time.
