Chapter Twenty-Five

The silence in the room was palpable, no one uttered a word, no sound was made as we all stared at the bastard who was determined to ruin my life. My life, which I had barely started living, was over. There was no way the Alpha would keep me alive after this, he would take pleasure in torturing me before he killed me.

If I was being honest, I would prefer it if he killed me instantly instead of dragging it out. Death was more appealing than being in constant pain and begging for a release. All I could do now was keep Cami out of it and keep her alive.

"T-That's not true. He's lying." My voice was low, shaky and unconvincing.

All three men turned to look at me. Miles had a look in his eyes that suggested he was enjoying this, he wanted to see me suffer. Beta Kieran eyed me in confusion as if he was trying to understand how I fit into this.

Alpha Alessandro, the person who should have been filled with emotion, was staring at me with a blank look. For a second I pondered whether or not the Alpha heard Miles because he wasn't staring at me in anger or rage, it was a strange emotion, something I couldn't quite pinpoint.

"I'm not. I have evidence, I took pi-"

"Shut up. Don't speak unless I ask you to." Alpha Alessandro interrupted Miles before he could finish his sentence.

"Sorry Alpha." Miles muttered meekly.

The pictures were something I couldn't refute. I may have deleted the pictures but Miles definitely kept his and probably made like ten copies. Once he shows the Alpha the pictures that was it. How could I argue with photographic evidence?

"So if what you say is true, you have been aware for weeks now that my cousin is dead and decided not to inform anymore?"

Both mine and Mile's jaws dropped. Was the Alpha seriously turning this around on him? Maybe he didn't believe him and thought Miles was making everything up?

"I-I didn't know he was your cousin." His eyes darted from mine to the Alpha. "I thought it was a random person."

Alpha Alessandro took a step closer towards him. "Do you expect me to believe that?"

"I'm telling the truth Alpha."

The Alpha turned his gaze towards Beta Kieran. "Get a cell ready for the human boy."

"C-Cell?" Miles questioned, his voice filled with horror.

Both the Alpha and Beta ignored him. Beta Kieran left the room swiftly leaving the three of us alone.

"Now." Alpha Alessandro turned towards me. "You will remain silent, not a single word is to come out of your mouth. Do you understand?"

He waited for my response before turning to Miles. "Tell me everything that happened."

Miles gave me a quick glance before he started talking. "A few weeks ago I saw Nala and her sister driving to Saddleworth around midnight. They went onto the moors and started digging for a while. They returned to their car and pulled out something long and big, I could tell it was heavy by the way they were carrying it."

It was hard hearing those words and not being able to say anything. It took me back to the horrible night and I closed my eyes and swallowed the bile that was rising up in my throat. I wanted him to stop talking, I didn't want to go through it again.

"They took it to where they were digging and dumped it in there, covered it up and drove back home."

"What evidence do you have?" I opened my eyes again and watched them both.
