Chapter Sixty-Five

The pain that had erupted from my neck was unlike anything I had ever felt. My mouth opened up to cry out in anguish but nothing came out.

My hands that had previously been wrapped around in his hair dropped down to his shoulders where I began to push him or attempt to push him away from me.

I was doing anything and everything to get away from him, get away from this pain.

His hands did the opposite of mine, unlike mine that were trying to push him away, his tightened his grip on me, it was so tight that I could barely move. Slowly I felt my body weaken and loosen in his arms as we continued to stay like this.

My mind was telling me to let go, not to resist and give in.

I was so close to doing that, giving into him, when I felt Alpha Alessandro retract his teeth from my neck. He had pulled away slightly but still had a firm grip on me.

His green eyes were no longer green when they met mine, they were amber. Maybe it was my eyes playing up but he looked different, strange, almost like he was lost in some sort of trance. His full lips curved into a small smile as he stared happily down at me.

While he may have been happy, I on the other hand, was not. Tears began to build up in my eyes, bubbling over until it began to spill down my cheeks. I continued to stare back at him with my blurred vision.

Slowly, very slowly, his eyes began to change back to it's original colour, the amber fading out and the green overpowering it. He blinked a few times as if he wasn't sure what he was looking at. The small smile that had previously been on his face began to slip away as did his hold on me.

He jumped away from me as if I had burned him and without his support on my body, I slumped onto the sofa, unable to manage my own body. Looking up, I saw Alpha Alessandro staring at me in horror.

Why he was looking at me like that was beyond me since he's the one who had attacked me. If anyone should be looking at the other in horror, it should be me!

"You...you.." It was the first time I had seen Alpha Alessandro so shook and lost for words.

I wanted to tell him it wasn't me, it was you. You did this.

"What have you done?"

Me? What had I done? What have you done?

I wanted to hurl those questions at him but nothing was coming out of my mouth, it was as if my body had frozen. I was still slumped over, looking up at him as he loomed over me.

"What.Have.You.Done?" He spat out, his eyes darkening in anger.

Why was he angry with me? I hadn't done anything, he's the one who freaking bit me!

After many attempts I was finally able to speak. "You bit me." I gasped out as I pulled myself together. "You bit me."

My right hand trembled as it inched towards my throbbing neck. Something hot and sticky coated my fingers as I touched my tender neck.

"I'm bleeding." I muttered to no one in particular as I stared at my fingers.

Alpha Alessandro clenched his jaws as he glared down at me, for a second I could have sworn I saw tenderness in his eyes as he saw the blood on my fingers, but that disappeared very quickly.

"What have you done?"

Why the hell was he asking me 'what have you done?' when he was the one who did it? It's not like I went rabid and suddenly bit him without any warning.
