Review:
Finally finished even though skipping a lot. I read until chapter 1k something before fast skip. I'm not too keen reading a novel with long chapters because it tends to go downhill or out of context or bored. If I can read it until the end I think the novel is good enough. But story wise, I still think it's common. The plot is expected, complicated relationship also as expected.
MC was swapped at birth by her own father. Forgot how, MC birth father save MC and another child. He then sent MC to the other family saying she is their child because MC birth father is poor. Then not sure the exact time, MC birth father got cancer, he then confessed that he swapped the children. MC moved out from her family and stay away because the other daughter, Lin Ran didn't like her still communicate with Lin family. MC birth father suicide after confessing his crime. MC birth mother is crazy.
The opening is actually really good. There's no explanation, and it jump to the scene. MC was stopped by Gu Hanyan. She ask MC help, she said Wen Moshen's brother took over his company and WM only have her the woman he loved. She doesn't want WM come back and find out he lost everything so she beg MC to help her. MC then agreed and slept with ML. The background story is ML have engagement with GH by family force. GH didn't want, she got news that Ml attracted to MC so she ask MC to marry ML. The truth is ML never have engagement, it just arrangement from family. He trick GH making her believe that he is impotent and GH won't be able to enjoy rich life and could only become ML's son nanny. GH then ask MC to replace her.
MC loves WM, they are childhood friend. WM said MC is dull, he dated GH then broke up before he got into airplane accident. MC went to Iraq looking for him then she met ML. Thus leading ML like her. Currently it's been 4 years. MC and ML never have relationship, MC didn't recognize ML that they met in Iraq.
When MC about to register her marriage with ML, WM come back. Imagine airplane accident then 4 years later a man still alive and found from the sea. There's no detail how he can survive. WM and GH got into hot news, it was said GH is waiting for WM. Then there's photo GH having sex with several men. MC went to WM but didn't come in because she heard WM forgive GH.
Then WM went to MC talk show, indicating that he love MC. But MC already love ML. The news said GH is the one who went to Iraq. Then WM marry GH. MC best friend, Bai Xiaonan told WM the truth. WM regret it. MC already married with ML and said that she already move on. I think all the characters will have failed first love before getting married. MC best friends all have failed first love before marrying their lover. BX broke up with her boyfriend who cheated her then she end up with ML best friend which also her ex brother. Song Yao an actress, become mistress for her career, she broke up with her first boyfriend before marrying her backer which turns out MC long lost brother.
ML was a famous lawyer. Then not sure how he also a retired special army. Now he is businessman. He also got big organization in the dark. He is as old as I am but my resume only got 1 job. I wonder how old is he when changing his jobs. ML past is a bit blurred, in summary his mother was dumped by his jerk father. His mother died then he was found by maternal grandparent. At that time the grandparent has adopted son but he got into car accident and went to comma. ML then took care the family company and make it bigger. Once the adopted son healed he migrate to US. Then ML grandpa found his illegitimate son. He insist giving the company to his illegitimate son but want ML to keep running the company. ML grandpa and grandma have a fall out. MC disgusted with how cold blooded both of them. In the end the company become ML. The illegitimate son said he don't want to take over the company, he become a singer.
ML son actually his brother's son. ML went to Iraq to save his brother and his wife, Lu Xiangsi who is also ML first love. He then saw MC who searched WM and protect LX son. Terrorist threaten them to give out LX. Then a woman name Chu Xun got scared and glanced at LX. LX shoved her baby to MC and ask her to protect him. LX was shot and died. ML brother went to revenger her and died too. He ask ML to take care his son, he didn't want his mother aka ML stepmother who sent LX to Iraq to get her grandson. ML then start take over the company and destroyed his father family. He regret not having power to save his brother and wife so he made the organization and take over company. Sadly when he wooed MC, she said she didn't like men with power and prefer having normal life 😂
MC easily become famous host. Many women trying to get ML. Chu Xun become MC boss then she fired MC. MC then open her own studio. Later it was revealed that CX is the one who glance at LX. She also use MC report and submit it as her own. This was a later phase around chapter 700-800. Then suddenly all the other condemn her. MC brother who at that time still thought he is LX brother want to revenge LX and destroyed CX life. ML also trapped CX family business. CX thought it was because she glance at LX so they condemn her. The other said it's not, it's because CX is saved by LX and her husband but CX only remember that ML is the one save her because she want him. She also pretend to care about LX son saying she want to repay LX but it only because ML took care the child. She never mention LX and her husband saving her because they are dead and she never care about them. MC brother then keep sending killer to frighten her. I think this one is too over. MC actions in Iraq is too highlighted and repeatedly praised. I know she is brave, kind, resilient. At time she become selfish. But so far MC and ML is too perfect.
