Review:
I agree with the review on novelupdates, the plot goes downhill after chapter 50. It's like rushed or a summary. A lot of narrative text after chapter 50. I thought I will rate this novel as 3/5 but then I don't realize that I keep reading it until the end even if I feel it's boring.
MC got amnesia and was saved by ML. ML knew that she is a wife of King Bandit, ML's enemy. ML is a hereditary King, he rules his own fief. ML lied to MC and become her husband. MC only remember until she went to capital and marry a merchant name Cui Jiu. ML surname is Cui and rank nine so his friend call him Cui Jiu. That's why MC thought he is her husband.
ML already engaged with his cousin. ML mother is soft hearted and keep being pushed by her own sister, the cousin mother. ML plan to use MC and lure the other bandits but slowly he loves MC and plan to make her as outside concubine without telling MC. ML then need to fight on border. ML mother want him to marry first but the cousin family tried to delay it since it's not sure whether ML will alive or not. ML then break the engagement. He also arrange MC saying they'll break up. MC then followed him to the border quietly. They spend time as husband and wife.
Then MC knew that ML lied to her. MC got furious and went back to her grandfather house. Some issue there then ML pursue MC again and coaxed her to marry him as wife.
They went back home when the politic settled. Previously the government is ruled by empress dowager Wu who was doted by late emperor. She killed the crown prince and his brother. The crown prince was saved by Sui Wang and live incognito. MC who become bandit after escaping her marriage, met the crown prince. They got romantically involve but then the crown prince was seduced by another woman. MC got angry and left him. The woman and sui wang tried to kill MC thus ML saving her while she forgot her past with the crown prince.
The crown prince married a general daughter and took back his crown. He want to take back MC but she already marry ML. ML was used by the new emperor to fight with Sui Wang. Once Sui Wang died, ML went to border again and fight with Japanese pirates.
ML found out that the emperor and queen's father work with Japanese pirates to trap him. ML then went back home because his mother got sick. ML found his concubine brother who is disabled actually a hidden guard for emperor. ML brother marry ML ex fiancee. The ex-fiancee use her mother who is close to ML mother and poison ML mother. The empror found out that ML brother betray him. Unfortunately there's no ending about ML ex-fiancee. She is a bit annoying too.
The novel has a good humor. I laughed at some parts. Like when MC and ML found there's spy around ML. They both look at ML bestfriend who is always carefree and good at medicine. Then they dispelled it because the bestfriend humm a poetry going home and marry because he is afraid of MC.
