Summary
A new café had opened downstairs from the company. The shop’s signature item was neither coffee nor cake, but the boss’s good looks.
Jiang Ying, who was biased about appearances, was not careful and had left her heart over there.
Since then, a trip to Cloudside has become a daily ritual.
At some point, Jiang Ying checked her bank account and realized that her financial situation from the past few months was something to worry about.
Thus, she said to Yun Xian, “Boss Yun, I must be your store’s biggest customer. Why don’t you consider letting me invest in it? Let’s make money together.”
Yun Xian glanced at her as he wiped the glass and said in a flat tone, “Forget about investing.”
Jiang Ying felt like she was wronged. “I help with the taste test every time there’s a new product! When you said you couldn’t fall asleep, I thought of ways to coax you to sleep! I even painted the mural on the wall for you! *sigh* If I can’t even invest, then I’m at too much of a loss!”
“Oh, it is a bit of a loss,” Yun Xian said when he learned about her reasoning. “Then I can only let you make up for it by being the boss’s wife.”

A short story where love comes first.
Review:
A short calming love story. I can relate to ML since I felt I'm similar to him. We both live due to goal and have no hobby. Thankfully I'm not depressed since I just go with the flow 😂
MC works as game planner in ML friend company. They are in Xi city, I assume it's a small city. ML open a cafe near MC office.
They met when MC is tired working overtime on her birthday. She went to ML cafe and bought a cake. ML got insomnia so he open the cafe till late night. MC then wished all insomnia people got a good night sleep. ML felt touched and promise her to reserve cake for next year.
MC got sucked by ML face, she came to the cafe often and got close to ML. MC met her old school classmate who bullied her. He tried to woo her while another classmate said to MC that it was due a bet. MC slapped the man when they had dinner. The man want to hit MC but she was saved by ML.
ML then realize MC is not a pure elegant girl like she shown everyday. She smoke and can be fiery. ML got attracted to MC who can live freely. While MC like ML who alway gentle and calm.
She then know ML past. ML mother divorce early, she was a strict teacher and demand her sons to have good academic. ML always there for his mother, got a good job and career. Then he felt suffocated because he doesn't know what he likes. He then run away to MC city and open cafe.
MC followed ML back to his home when his brother run away from school. Then MC asked what's his hobby or place to hangout. ML then realize his brother is just like him, didn't have hobby and place he likes. ML brother went back to his school in the evening. In summary MC said living everyday will always hard but you can always wait for small happiness just like waiting to eat a beef noodle (their dinner plan).
I really enjoyed reading this novel. It's been long reading a calm love story without any conflict.
