Actually I'll rate the plot 3/5 but I enjoyed reading this novel. The writing is good with humor and sadness. The villains are braindead and easily defeated, ML is too OP. Both MC and ML are a bit Mary sue.
There are 3 timelines, 1st is as the novel where MC is the OFL. She married her cousin who later become minister. She followed her mother to capital early and never left behind. 2nd timeline is where MC sister, Zhen Yiyun success scheme on MC. MC was left behind for 13 years, when she came to capital, both parent despise her due to her lack education. ZY marry Yan Wang heir because she claim she saved him when he was drown. Actually MC is the one who saved him. ZY is afraid of MC halo that may disrupt her life so she plan to kill her when MC run out of house due to anger. MC parent plan to send her back to hometown but MC refuse it. MC then died in ruffians hand.
The 3rd timeline is current timeline. MC dream about 2nd timeline. She then become more prepared and plan to stay away from her sister. Her horse was stolen by ML. But then the horse bring ML back. ML got injury and lost some of his memory. He agreed to be MC teacher during the travel to capital.
MC didn't know ML identity. They got close during the travel. Then they separated when they are about to enter capital. ML took her to his mansion so she can find him.
ZY repeatedly provoke MC, ZY was punished by her parent then MC will let her be again. MC parent always feeling guilty but it never shown, instead they keep being partial to ZY. MC mother resent MC because since she is coming, ZY become not perfect and MC mother was blamed by MC father. She never admit her own mistakes until the end.

Soon ML father died. He choose a sickly prince to inherit the throne. This is where I don't understand if this prince is ML brother or not. ML father has a son from queen who died young. Then Yan Wang who obsessed with Taoist. The youngest is ML. He also has another 2 daughter, Huigo princess who already married to duke Rong. And ML sister.
ML father initially want ML to marry a daughter from minister. But ML refuse and run to his fief. This minister is the one who proposed ML sister to marry barbarian. This is another blind points. It is said the direct daughter of the minister then marry another man since ML refuse to marry. While her cousin marry the crown prince and later become empress dowager. So this empress dowager actually doesn't have any relation with ML, she just infatuated on her own. And her own father become minister after she married off, so the one who proposed ML sister to marry barbarian actually not the dowager father. But later it was said that dowager father is the one who proposed the marriage.
The dowager plan to disrupt ML engagement. She asked ZY to bring MC in secluded temple. Then arranged a man to rape MC. MC is saved by Yan Wang heir (ZY husband on 2nd timeline). Yan Wang heir actually remembered his past 2 life. He keep missing MC even in this life. He promised he won't pursue MC again. He told MC that in 2nd life MC was killed by ZY. ML then called the minister aka dowager father. He said he tolerate the minister 3 times. 1st is when he proposed his sister to marry Barbarian. 2nd when he assassinate ML before he entered capital. 3rd is this time. He demand 3 things, the dowager should die, all secret agent from the minister, then his own death. If ML can directly do it why not kill the dowager and her family early...
The emperor died, ML choose Yan Wang heir as the next emperor. Yan Wang heir want ML to promise him, if he doesn't have heir then ML son should continue the throne. ML agreed, he thought Yan Wang may have his own son later. MC who knew that Yan Wang remembered 2 lifetimes, asked him why he want ML to promise.
