**** Few Days Later / Friday, February 3rd 2023 ****

Noelle's POV

All week I have been feeling so tired.

Even though I have been able to work from home, I literally have been struggling to get out of bed.

Mi sleep through mi alarm at least twice this week, which is very unlike me.

Mi call fi mi mada fi every likkle inconvenience, so as soon as I realized that my energy level was low, mi call her and she told which bush fi buy and boil.

She also suggested getting a littlle more sunlight and spending more time outside.

Which I think is the solution that I really need, I have been either cooped up in the office or in the house these past few weeks.

I need a day at the beach or sumn.

Micheal has stayed home with me for the majority of this week, but today he had to leave to go to Portmore to deal wid some business.

Ever since I told him about the guy who came to look for me at my job, he's been moving kinda weird.

Him and Nickoi always deh pon di phone, and he never wants me to be in the room for any of their conversations.

The crazy ooman inside mi brain did start convenience mi seh him ah give mi bun but then I had  to try and shake that thought away.

Mi miss mi man though...

I'm hoping we can spend some time together soon, with all the shit that's been going on we haven't even gotten a chance to go on any dates in a while.

Mi nah complain doh, mi know him busy, and mi busy too so we just have to find the right time.

I honestly feel like I'm in love, actually mi nuh feel like, mi know seh mi in love.

But mi refuse fi say it first...so him need fi hurry up and drop it inna conversation soon.

I stare at my computer screen in front of me, aimlessly scrolling through a 100-page contract for one of our upcoming mergers we are closing in on next week.

Work has really kept me busy, so busy that I find myself working through contracts in my dreams now.

The sound of my phone going off pulls me out of my thoughts, I pick it up and realize that Raina was calling me.

"Hey boo, mek sure yuh nuh figet bout mi likkle get together tonight. It's a girl's night kinda vibe so wear something pink" she says once the call connects.

Oh shit....yuh know seh mi not even memba bout dis.

Wid all weh mi have pon top ah fi mi head, I did not even remember to invite Renee or Angel.

I may just have to go to this alone, but mi not even know if Micheal waan mi fi leff di yaad.

Mi fada dead an gone doh so is not like seh mi need fi ask ah man fi permission, but mi know him waan mi be safe due to everything that's going on right now.

"No girl mi neva figet" I lie, "but thanks for the reminder on the attire cause mi woulda come very off theme" I say to her with a small laugh.

We spent the next few minutes catching up a bit about how the work week was, she had also decided to take today off and work from home so the office building was closed for the day.

"Mi excited fi yuh meet mi baby dem, mi baby fada ago deh yer fi watch dem doh"

"Yes me too! It's one thing to see them in pictures but it's another thing to meet them in person, mi cyaa wait fi play rich aunty enuh"
