"Mandy"

Bandana's POV
It was 5:15 am. The whole night I couldn't sleep properly. Sameeksha was sleeping with her head resting on my lap.

I slept in an uncomfortable position. Also, I was scared that I will miss Manjot's call so I kept on waking up and checking the time.

My eyes were hurting. I stretched my body a bit.

I looked at the screen, Manjot was finally calling. I smiled.

I stood up carefully and placed a pillow under Sameeksha's head. I went outside in the hall and picked up the call.

"Hello?" I said in a sleepy voice. "So rhi ho kya?" He asked. I smiled. "Nhi, abhi abhi uthi, iss lie awaaz thodi..." I lied. "Joothi, I know tum poori raat theek se soi nhi" He said. I widened my eyes.

"And how do you know that?" I asked. "Har ghante Instagram pe random posts like kar rhi thi, jinme surprisingly kucch mere bhi the" He said in a teasing tone. I bit my lower lip. "Woh tumhare posts feed me aa gey the. Don't know how" I said. "Are you sure ke feed me aae the aur tumne khud nhi dhoondhe?" He asked.

"Oversmart ban'ne ki koshish mat karo" I said. He chuckled.

Okay yeah, he won. We both knew it.

He cleared his throat to say something.

"Bandana, beta kisse baat kar rhi ho itni subhah?" I heard Maa's voice.

Shoot.

I turned slowly. "Good morning Maa" I said nervously. "Good morning Beta" She said with a smile.

"Maa...woh...M..." I said, "Mandy hai" I said. "Manjot?" Maa asked. I shook my head. "Mandy...Mandeep...woh meri London me friend thi Mandeep" I said, "waha to subhah ho geyi kabki. Usne phone kia aur Sameeksha so rhi thi to me baat krne yaha aa geyi" I said.

She smiled and nodded. "Accha accha, karlo baat" She said and went in the kitchen.

I sighed. I felt bad for lying but that was the only option.

"Mandeep? Seriously??" Manjot asked laughing. I smiled. "Shut up" I said, Maa looked at me. She could hear everything.

"Bandana I dare you, mera naam bolke dikhao" He said. I smiled again. "Haan haan, sab theek hai, tum sunao" I said. He started laughing. "Naam lo mera" He said. "Haan meri job theek hai, boht khush hu yaha" I said. "Naam" He said again.

"Mandy" I finally said. He chuckled. "Poora naam" He said. "Accha agar mene tumhara kaam kia to badle me mujhe kya milega?" I asked.

"Let me think" He said, "aaj ke match me century" He replied, "woh to vese bhi mil jaegi" I said. "Okay then..." He started thinking again, "Mahi Bhai se milvaunga" He said.

Oh. My. God.

"Done" I said immediately. "I'm waiting then" He said. "Manjot Kalra" I said, Maa looked at me. "Haan tum tension mat lo, Manjot Kalra ko me jaanti hu, milva dungi, tum bas ghar aa jao" I said.

"I'm impressed Bandana Jassi" He said. A proud smile came on my face. "Theek hai, Mahi Bhai se milva dunga" He said. "Yassss!!!" I said.

"Accha mujhe nikalna hai ab" He said, "okay, all the best!!!!" I wished him. He chuckled and thanked me.

"Koi exam hai Mandy ka?" Maa asked. "Nhi Maa, woh...actually...aaj job interview ke lie jaa rhi hai, iss lie wish kia" I said. She nodded.

I went upstairs in my room. Sameeksha was getting ready.

"Ho geyi baat?" She asked. I nodded and hugged her. "Me itni khush hu na, kya batau tujhe" I said. "Haan haan theek hai" She said.

"Kucch hi ghanto me uska match hai, bhagwaan kare ke woh century maare" I said. She nodded with a smile.

"By the way, me theek hu ab" She said. I looked at her and bit my tongue. "Sorry, excitement me poochna bhool geyi" I said. "It's okay, bas uske excitement me kabhi mujhe mat bhool jaio" She said.

Ouch. That hurt.

But I guess I deserved it.

"Esa kabhi nhi hoga. Baaki sab baadme hai, tu sabse pehle" I said. She nodded.

I went to get ready.

Abhishek's POV
I woke up and the first thing that I thought about was how Sameeksha was.

I called her.

"Good morning Abhishek" She said. Gosh. I smiled when she said my name. She says it rarely, but it feels really good when she does that.

"Kesi ho tum?" I asked. "Me bilkul theek hu" She said. I kissed the rudraksh in my neck and looked up. "Thank god" I said.

"Kyu?" She asked. "Umm...nhi bas ese hi" I said, not knowing what to say.

"Me late ho rhi hu, to me jaau? Baadme baat kar lenge" She said. I hummed and she disconnected the call.
